Abstract:
Disclosed herein are compositions and methods for altering the color of hair comprising a first mixture comprising from about 1% to about 50% of at least one starch, from about 1% to about 50% of at least one liquid fatty substance and from about 0.5% to about 40% of at least one silica material, and a second mixture comprising from about 1% to about 40% of at least one oxidizing agent, from about 0.5% to about 30% of at least one acrylic polymer and from about 0.1% to about 10% of at least one chelant compound.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to hair care compositions such as hair treatment compositions and hair lightening compositions, methods for treating hair (e.g., lightening hair), and to kits comprising the compositions. The components of the hair treatment compositions may be included in hair lightening compositions and used to lighten and/or color hair. The hair treatment compositions typically include: (a) one or more polycarboxylic acids, and/or a salt thereof; (b) one or more amino acids, and/or a salt thereof; and optionally (c) one or more cationic conditioning agents. The hair lightening compositions further include (d) one or more bleaching agents.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods and compositions for altering the color of hair, comprising treating the hair with a pre-alkalizing composition and then treating the hair with a color-altering composition comprising at least one lift-enhancing agent, at least one oxidative dye precursor, at least one oxidizing agent chosen from peroxides, persulfates, perborates, percarbonates, peracids, bromates, their salts and mixtures thereof, and optionally, at least one direct dye.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to thermal control of compositions for altering the color of hair, in particular to hair bleaching compositions comprising thermal control agents, hair color-altering compositions comprising the hair bleaching compositions and/or thermal control agents, methods for preparing and using the hair color-altering compositions, and kits comprising the hair bleaching compositions and/or thermal control agents.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to systems and compositions comprising the systems for use in chemical treatment of keratinous substrates, such as the hair. The systems and compositions comprising the systems comprise at least one active agent and at least one acid. Methods of treating keratinous substrates with the systems and compositions comprising the systems are also disclosed.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to compositions for treating keratinous substrates, such as the hair, comprising monoethanolamine and at least one carboxylic acid, as well as systems and methods for treating keratinous substrates with the compositions.
Abstract:
The instant disclosure relates to methods and kits for artificially coloring hair and improving the durability of the artificially colored hair. The methods include: (I) combining an antioxidant booster composition, a hair coloring base composition, and a developer composition to form an antioxidant-enriched hair coloring composition within 2 hours of application to the hair; (II) applying the antioxidant enriched hair coloring composition to the hair and allowing the antioxidant enriched hair coloring composition to remain on the hair for a period of time; and (III) rinsing the antioxidant enriched hair coloring composition from the hair. The antioxidant booster composition can be included in a kit with a hair coloring base composition and/or a developer composition, wherein the antioxidant booster composition, the coloring base composition, and the developer composition are separately contained.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods and compositions for altering the color of hair, comprising treating the hair with a pre-alkalizing composition and then treating the hair with a color-altering composition comprising at least one first oxidizing agent chosen from peroxides, persulfates, perborates, percarbonates, peracids, bromates, their salts and mixtures thereof, and further optionally comprising at least one fatty substance and/or thickening agent, and/or at least one second oxidizing agent. The methods may further optionally comprise applying onto the hair a coloring composition comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable carrier, at least one dye compound chosen from oxidative dye precursors, and direct dye compounds.
Abstract:
Disclosed are compositions and methods for controlling or slowing down the coloration of keratin fibers such as hair involving providing compositions comprising coconut water which contains catalase-peroxidase and at least one antioxidant, wherein the pH of the composition is from about 2 to about 6.
