    Abstract: A motor is provided. The motor according to an aspect of the present disclosure comprises a housing, a bearing disposed in the housing, a rotating shaft rotatably coupled to the bearing, an impeller cover disposed on an upper part of the housing, an impeller disposed inside the impeller cover and coupled to the rotating shaft, a magnet coupled to a lower area of the rotating shaft, a stator coupled to the housing and facing the magnet, and a coil wound around the stator. In this case, the impeller includes a body, a plurality of blades formed on an outer peripheral surface of the body, a plurality of grooves concavely formed upward from a lower surface of the body, and a coupling hole formed in a central area of the body and in which the rotating shaft is disposed.

    Abstract: A magnet includes one or more polar regions each having an arc shape and arranged in a circumferential direction. A magnetic focus center of each polar region is different from a center of an inner diameter of the one or more polar regions. A value obtained by dividing (i) dm, a distance from a straight line connecting ends of a first magnetic center line of the one or more polar regions to a center of the first magnetic center line, by (ii) db, a distance from a straight line connecting ends of a second magnetic center line of the one or more polar regions to a center of the second magnetic center line, satisfies certain values based on a number of the polar regions. db is determined based on the one or more polar regions having a magnetic focus center that corresponds to the center of the inner diameter.

    Abstract: A magnet orientation device includes an upper plate disposed on a magnet raw material, a lower plate disposed below the magnet raw material, and dies disposed on sides of the magnet raw material. The upper plate has a convex upward arc shape. The upper plate includes a first magnetic region and a first non-magnetic region that surround the first magnetic region and the lower plate includes a second magnetic region and a second non-magnetic region that surround the second magnetic region. A lower surface of the first magnetic region provides a plurality of grooves and an upper surface of the second magnetic region provides a plurality of protrusions. A horizontal length of the first magnetic region is greater than a horizontal length of the magnet raw material and a horizontal length of the second magnetic region is equal to or less than the horizontal length of the magnet raw material.

    Abstract: An electric motor and a compressor having an electric motor. The electric motor may include a stator, and a rotor provided with a rotational shaft, a rotor core coupled to the rotational shaft, and permanent magnets coupled to the rotor core. The rotor core may include a first core to which the permanent magnets may be coupled, and a second core made of a magnetic material and coupled to an end of the first core in an axial direction. The second core may have outer surfaces disposed inside of extension lines extending in the axial direction from inner surfaces of the permanent magnets, thereby suppressing magnetic flux leakage of the permanent magnet, and increasing rotational inertia of the rotor.
