    Abstract: An image encoding/decoding method and apparatus include features of generating a prediction block by performing intra prediction on a current block, determining whether to apply position dependent intra prediction combination (PDPC) to the prediction block, and generating a final prediction block of the current block, by applying PDPC to the prediction block based on the determination. The determining whether to apply PDPC to the prediction block may include determining whether a size of the current block satisfies a predetermined condition. Based on the size of the current block satisfying the predetermined condition, it may be determined to apply PDPC to the prediction block. Based on the size of the current block not satisfying the predetermined condition, a determination of a color component of the current block may be skipped and it may be determined not to apply PDPC to the prediction block.

    Abstract: An image decoding method performed by a decoding device according to the present document comprises the steps of: obtaining reference line index information and prediction information for a current block; determining an intra prediction mode of the current block on the basis of the prediction information; deriving a reference sample of the current block on the basis of the intra prediction mode and the reference line index information; and generating a prediction sample of the current block on the basis of the reference sample, wherein the intra prediction mode includes a non-directional intra prediction mode, and the reference sample is derived from among surrounding samples of the current block on the basis of the non-directional intra prediction mode and the reference line index information.

    Abstract: A picture decoding method, performed by a decoding apparatus according to the present dislosure, comprises the steps of: when an intra-prediction mode of a chroma block is a cross-component linear model (CCLM) mode, deriving neighboring chroma reference samples with respect to the chroma block; deriving neighboring luma reference samples of a luma block corresponding to the chroma block and luma samples in the luma block; deriving down-sampled neighboring luma reference samples and downsampled luma samples by down sampling the neighboring luma reference samples and the luma samples, respectively; deriving a linear model parameter on the basis of the down-sampled neighboring luma reference samples and the neighboring chroma reference samples; generating prediction samples with respect to the chroma block on the basis of the linear model parameter and the down-sampled luma samples of the luma block; and reconstructing the chroma block on the basis of the prediction samples with respect to the chroma block.

    Abstract: A video decoding method according to the present document is characterized by comprising: obtaining Most Probable Mode (MPM) index information and reference line index information from a bitstream; compiling an MPM list including candidate intra prediction modes for the intra prediction of a current block; deriving an intra prediction mode for the current block from among the candidate intra prediction modes included in the MPM list on the basis of the MPM index information; generating prediction samples for the current block on the basis of the intra prediction mode; and generating reconstructed samples for the current block on the basis of the prediction samples, wherein the step for compiling the MPM list involves deriving a DC mode as one of the candidate intra prediction modes, and including the DC mode in the MPM list, the DC mode being derived on the basis of the value of reference line index information indicating a reference line used for the intra prediction of the current block not being zero.
