摘要: There is disclosed a method of encoding an input signal, the method comprising: receiving a base encoded signal, the base encoded signal being generated by feeding an encoder with a down-sampled version of an input signal; producing a first residual signal by: decoding the base encoded signal to produce a first decoded signal; and using a difference between the base decoded signal and the down-sampled version of the input signal to produce the first residual signal; producing a second residual signal by: correcting the base decoded signal using the residual signal to create a corrected decoded version; up-sampling the corrected decoded version; and using a difference between the up-sampled corrected decoded signal and the input signal to produce the second residual signal; wherein the up-sampling is one of bilinear or bicubic up-sampling. A corresponding decoding method is also disclosed.

The input signal (700) is processed at least by converting the input signal (700) from a first colour space to a second colour space, to produce a first processed signal. The processed signal is encoded by a first encoding module (703) to generate a first encoded signal (710). A decoded signal is generated by decoding the first encoded signal (710). The decoded signal is processed at least by converting the decoded signal from the second colour space to the first colour space to produce a second processed signal. The second processed signal and the input signal (700) are processed by a second encoding module (707) to generate a second encoded signal (720).

摘要: A video data stream is rendered reducible in a manner so that the reduction leads to a restriction of pictures of the reduced video data stream to merely a predetermined subarea of the pictures of the original video data stream and in a manner so that transcoding, such as re-quantization, may be avoided and a conformance of the reduced video data stream relative to the codec underlying the original video data stream be maintained. This is achieved by providing the video data stream with information including an indication of the predetermined subarea and replacement indices for redirecting the indices included by the payload portion so as to refer to, and/or replacement parameters for adjusting the first set of coding parameter settings so as to result in, a second set of coding parameter settings.

摘要: There is provided methods, apparatuses and computer program products for video coding and decoding. A first part of a first coded video representation is decoded, and information on decoding a second coded video representation is received and parsed. The coded second representation differs from the first coded video representation in chroma format, sample bit depth, color gamut and/or spatial resolution, and the information indicates if the second coded video representation may be decoded using processed decoded pictures of the first coded video representation as reference pictures. If the information indicates that the second coded video representation may be decoded using processed decoded pictures of the first coded video representation as a prediction reference, decoded picture(s) of the first part is/are processed into processed decoded picture(s) by resampling and/or sample value scaling; and decoding a second part of a second video representation using said processed decoded picture(s) as reference pictures.

摘要: A method for processing a video signal, of the present disclosure, comprising the steps of: parsing, from a bitstream, upper level merge with MVD (MMVD) activation information (sps_mmvd_enabled_flag) indicating whether the upper level MMVD including a current block is usable; parsing, from the bitstream, MMVD merge information (mmvd_merge_flag) indicating whether the MMVD is used in the current block, if the upper level MMVD activation information indicates the activation of the MMVD; parsing MMVD distance-related information (mmvd_distance_idx) and MMVD direction-related information (mmvd_direction_idx), if the MMVD merge information indicates that the MMVD is used in the current block; and obtaining MMVD information (mMvdLX) based on the MMVD distance-related information and the MMVD direction-related information, wherein the MMVD information is greater than or equal to −2{circumflex over ( )}17 and is less than or equal to 2{circumflex over ( )}17−1.

摘要: A method for video encoding includes determining a corresponding motion vector for each of multiple control points of a base predictor. The method further includes determining a corresponding motion vector difference for each of the multiple control points of the base predictor based on the determined motion vector for each respective control point. The method further includes generating prediction information of the current block to be included in a coded video bitstream. The prediction information includes (i) a usage flag indicative of the affine merge mode with offset, (ii) offset parameters defining the determined corresponding motion vector difference for each of the one or more of the control points, and (iii) a zero motion vector difference flag for the multiple control points of the base predictor. The zero motion vector difference flag indicates whether offset parameters for the respective control point are provided in the prediction information.

The process provides for re-sampling using video data obtained from an encoder or decoder process of a base layer (BL) in a multi-layer system to improve quality in Scalable High Efficiency Video Coding (SHVC). 摘要: In a conventional art, an output layer set having no output layer is sometimes defined. Consequently, even if the decoder decodes a bit stream to obtain each layer in the output layer set without the output layer, there is no picture to be outputted. There is a possibility that such coded data causes the decoder expecting an output to operate unexpectedly. Output layer sets having the same configuration may be defined. Consequently, the amount of code pertaining to the output layer sets defined in an overlapping manner is redundant. According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a specification of a bit stream conformance pertaining to the output layer set prevents occurrence of an output layer set without an output layer and a redundant output layer set.
