    Abstract: A mobile terminal comprising a stereoscopic display unit outputting a stereoscopic image is disclosed. In one embodiment the stereoscopic display unit comprises a display element configured to periodically display left and right images, a refractive lens unit disposed to overlap with the display element and configured to change refractive characteristics thereof, and a controller configured to control the refractive characteristics of the refractive lens unit such that a refraction direction of transmitted light is periodically changed to make the left and right images face in different directions.
