Abstract: The present invention relates to a power conversion device and an air conditioner comprising the same. The power conversion device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: an interleaved boost converter; a dc terminal capacitor connected to an output terminal of the interleaved boost converter; a load connected to the dc terminal capacitor; and a controller for controlling the interleaved boost converter, wherein the controller controls the phase difference between a first boost converter and second boost converter of the interleaved boost converter so that the phase difference is a first phase difference in a first mode, and if a current ripple flowing in the dc terminal capacitor is a predetermined value or greater, the controller enters a second mode and controls the phase difference between the first boost converter and second boost converter of the interleaved boost converter so that the phase difference varies. Accordingly, the ripple current flowing into a capacitor disposed at the output terminal of an interleaved boost converter can be reduced.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a converter for an air conditioner. The converter includes a substrate; an inductor disposed in one side of the substrate, and comprising a core and a coil wound around the core; a switching element disposed in one side of the substrate, and selectively controlling a flow of a circuit; and a heat sink for absorbing heat generated from the switching element by contacting the switching element, wherein a lead-in hole is formed in one side of the substrate, and at least a portion of the inductor is disposed in the lead-in hole, thereby quickly discharging the heat generated by the inverter and more efficiently using a space.
