摘要： An electronic camera for capturing an image of an object from both hand-held and stationary positions comprises an imaging module containing an image sensor for capturing the image, a camera body capable of serving as a stand for the camera, an elongated arm for supporting the imaging module at one end and terminating at the other end in a connecting member for connecting with the camera body, and means for pivotally attaching the connecting member to the camera body such that the elongated arm and the imaging module may be seated against the camera in a first position for hand-held imaging and swung away from the camera through an arcuate path relative to the camera body, which serves as a stand, to a second position for stationary imaging. In a further variation, the imaging module is attached to the elongated arm with a flexible support that provides a wide range of imaging module adjustments. Since the camera body nests the articulating arm in one position and supports the arm like a stand in another position, the camera provides a package that can be conveniently hand held for still imaging or firmly parked on a desktop for videoconferencing.

摘要： A computer system coupled to a digital image database with images having image attributes. The image attributes are automatically evaluated in order to find a compatible digital template from a digital template database. The templates each include a plurality of windows for displaying the digital images and each of the template include template attributes to automatically select a template whose attributes are compatible with at least one of the image attribute. The data base of digital images is also automatically searched for additional images having an attribute compatible with the template attributes and with the first one of the image attributes. A display screen coupled to the computer system displays the selected template and at least one other image.

摘要： A method for creating a coordinated image display by designing a digital template for the image display. The template includes a number of openings for displaying digital images. Each of the openings has at least one stored required image attribute that must be satisfied to a programmed degree according to the artistic design of the template. A template recipe includes an image attribute for a dependent opening, which means that it's defined to be dependent upon at least one image attribute of an image in another opening of the template. The computer system automatically searches an image database for an image satisfying the required image attribute for the dependent opening. If a user of the computer system manually replaces or modifies an image upon which another image depends, the computer system will automatically search the image database for a new image that satisfies the required dependency upon the replaced or modified image, if necessary.

摘要： A computer implemented method of generating an image display. A database stores images of products to be sold by a merchant and templates for organizing a display of the images. The templates each have attributes matching a particular product inventory and images of particular products can be disposed in preselected and predesigned locations in the template. When an inventory of products offered for sale by the merchant changes or is updated, then the template attributes can be changed to reflect the current inventory. The current product images can then be displayed within a template on at least one electronic display.
