    摘要： A pneumatic agricultural tire 20 has a tread 32 having a plurality of central lugs 50 arranged in a circumferentially continuous row and extending across the equatorial plane. Each central lug 50 is similar but oppositely oriented relative to each circumferentially adjacent central lug 50. Each central lug 50 has a circumferentially extending leading end portion 51 and a circumferentially extending trailing end portion 53. The leading and trailing end portions 51,53 are located on opposite sides of the equatorial plane. The end portions 51,53 being connected by a middle inclined portion 55, the middle inclined portion 55 being oriented at an angle .theta. of 50.degree. or less relative to the equatorial plane. This central lug 50 in combination with pluralities of first and second shoulder lugs 40,42 provides excellent traction.

    摘要： The present invention is directed to a pneumatic tire comprising an axis of rotation and a tread. The tread has a plurality of traction elements and a discharge groove. The discharge groove has a base interposed between radially extending sides formed by side walls of the traction elements. The base of the discharge groove defines a matrix of circumferentially extending rectangular ramp structures. One ramp structure of the matrix extends circumferentially, from a radially inner first end portion, in a direction of rotation of the tire and radially outward to a radially outer second end portion. The radially outer second end portion defines an edge portion extending parallel to the axis of rotation of the tire. The edge portion improves traction of the tire and evacuation of the discharge groove.

    摘要： A pneumatic driver tire (10) for tracked vehicles (1) has a carcass reinforcing structure (30) having two or more bias angled plies (32, 34), the cords of the first ply (32) being oppositely oriented relative to the cords of the second ply (34). The tire (10) has no integral belts on breakers and preferably has an aspect ratio of about 100 %. The tire (10) has a tread (12) with voids (70) that extend across the entire tread (12) creating soil discharge channels (70). Preferably the tire tread (12) has a central area (66) exhibiting a high net contact area and axially outer areas (60, 62) having lower net contact areas. The tread lugs (40) also have a radiused portion (48) designed to limit the tires sidewalls (16) from contacting the track.

The chevron pattern 70,72 is asymmetric having the apex or point 74 lying entirely on one-half 32A or 32B of the tread 32 thus creating soil discharge channels 89,82 that are greater on one tread half 32A or 32B relative to the other tread half 32A or 32B. This tread pattern permits the employment of lugs 50A, 50B of substantially equal lug length ll insuring more uniform wear characteristics.
