Abstract:
The present application is directed to an anti-theft lug nut assembly and/or system for vehicular wheel use. A lug nut assembly of this application may be used in connection with each wheel of a particular vehicle. In another instance, multiple lug nut assemblies may be used in connection with a single wheel of a vehicle. In such instances, the lug nut assemblies may incorporate a common key member or distinct key members for use with each distinct lug members. Common wrenches and sockets are unable to engage and turn the lug member of this application as a result of the outer surface configuration of the lug member.
Abstract:
A digital signal is processed by splitting it into at least two frequency subbands and the two subband signals are downsampled. A filter is applied in at least one of the subband signals. At least one of the phase and magnitude of the subband filtered signals is matched in the transition frequency band between the two subbands.
Abstract:
A Java based server is disclosed for providing streaming data. Streaming data is received in a publisher interface and processed to generate Java messages describing real time updated. One application of the Java based server is to provide streaming data for business process.
Abstract:
A computing system is configured to deploy a JAVA application for execution in a distributed manner. The computing system includes a plurality of computing nodes including a domain manager node, the plurality of computing nodes forming a computing domain configured as an administrative grouping of the nodes administered by the domain manager node. The domain manager node is configured to provide, to each of the computing nodes, a main portion of the JAVA application. The main portion defines, for each computing node, a portion of the behavior of the JAVA application to be accomplished by that computing node. Furthermore, each computing node is configured to receive at least one class file having classes appropriate for the portion of the behavior of the JAVA application defined, by the main portion, to be accomplished by that computing node.
Abstract:
Many different embodiments of the present invention are directed to customizing and optimizing entertainment-content and information-content broadcast within retail establishments. In many embodiment of the present invention, an automated system employs a wide variety of different types of processed and compiled input information to compile and filter available content for broadcast, assign weights to the filtered, available content, and to continuously select content from the filtered and weighted. In a described embodiment, the automated system selects content for broadcast to optimally, or near-optimally, satisfy one or more goals established for the broadcast of entertainment content and information content within a retail establishment within a set of constraints.

Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to storage devices that are adapted for interconnection to a vertical or horizontal surface and to secure and a plurality of items. More specifically, some embodiments of the - present invention are adapted for interconnection between two adjacent wall studs to utilize the area therebetween, and which utilize a novel interconnection system wherein two or more storage devices can be operatively interconnected by utilizing common attachment hardware. In addition, some embodiments of the present invention are adapted to fold and are preferably provided with handles to facilitate transportation of the storage container.
Abstract:
A computer implemented transaction processing system is presented for processing transactions between an application and one or more transaction processors. The system utilizes a first communication link between the application and a transaction processor interoperability component. Then, the system determines which of the one or more transaction processors will process transactions for the application and establishes a communication link between the transaction processor interoperability component and the transaction processor that will process transactions for the application. Then, as the application transmits a transaction from the application to the transaction processor interoperability component, the transaction is formatted by the transaction processor interoperability component for comparability with the transaction processor that will process transactions for the application, and finally transmitting the formatted transaction to the transaction processor that will process transactions for the application. Transactions are processed across multiple TP monitors.
Abstract:
In a coupled data processing system having multiple users, either in a single system or in a multi-system environment, a coupling facility storage structure is used to provide a log management facility. The log management facility provides for a real time physical log merge of the data written into the log stream without interprocessor communication required to process the records in logical sequence. The log management facility supports concurrent write, delete, browse, and asynchronous off-load to dasd processes across multi-users and multi-systems. The log management facility maintains the log records, independent of the log media, in time sequence. A logical block id is assigned to each log record written so that it can be directly accessed at a later time.
Abstract:
A unilateral external fixation device for closed reduction of simple or comminuted long bone fractures includes a frame formed of composite materials which mounts a proximal carriage at one end and a distal carriage at the other end. The proximal carriage is adapted to mount half pins inserted in the proximal segment, and is supported on the frame by support arms which are movable with respect to the frame for adjusting the position of the proximal segment. The distal carriage includes a clamping member adapted to mount half pins inserted in the distal segment, which is pivotal about the fracture to permit precise adjustment of the distal segment for alignment with the proximal segment. A fragment support, mounted to one of the side rails of the support arm for the proximal carriage, is adapted to clamp a half pin inserted within a central fragment positioned between the proximal and distal segments of a comminuted fracture.
