    Abstract: A readout integrated circuit configured to read out sensing signals from an optical sensing panel is provided. The optical sensing panel includes a sensor array for fingerprint sensing. The readout integrated circuit includes a plurality of input terminals and a first discharging circuit. The plurality of input terminals are coupled to a plurality of output terminals of the optical sensing panel. The first discharging circuit is coupled to one of the plurality of input terminals. The first discharging circuit serves to discharge an output terminal included in the plurality of output terminals of the optical sensing panel by a first current during a readout period. The readout integrated circuit reads out a voltage of the output terminal as a sensing signal. The first discharging circuit includes a first switch element controlled by a control signal and a first current source which generates the first current.

    Abstract: An image sensor includes a sensor layer and a metal layer. The sensor layer includes a plurality of sensing elements arranged as a 2-dimensional array along a first direction and a second direction. The metal layer includes a plurality of metal wires configured to form a plurality of apertures superposed on the plurality of sensing elements. At least one of the plurality of metal wires forming the plurality of apertures is entirely disposed along a third direction different from the first direction and the second direction.

    Abstract: A readout circuit is provided. The readout circuit is coupled to a pixel circuit for reading out signals from the pixel circuit. The readout circuit includes a biasing circuit. The biasing circuit includes a cascode transistor and a biasing transistor. A first terminal of the cascode transistor is coupled to an output terminal of the biasing circuit and the pixel circuit. A second terminal of the cascode transistor is coupled to a first terminal of the biasing transistor. A second terminal of the biasing transistor is coupled to a negative voltage.

    Abstract: A method of switching a control voltage of a photo sensor cell for a photo sensor includes when the photo sensor cell is switched from a turned-off state to an turned-on state, sequentially switching the control voltage to at least one first voltage provided by at least one first voltage supply, and switching the control voltage to a first target voltage provided by a first charging pump circuit; and when the photo sensor cell is switched from the turned-on state to the turned-off state, sequentially switching the control voltage to at least one second voltage provided by at least one second voltage supply or a ground voltage, and switching the control voltage to a second target voltage provided by a second charging pump circuit.

    Abstract: A fingerprint and proximity sensing apparatus for fingerprint recognizing and proximity sensing is provided. The fingerprint and proximity sensing apparatus includes a display panel, a fingerprint sensor, and at least one proximity sensing light emitting diode. The fingerprint sensor has an optical sensing array. The optical sensing array is configured to receive a first light emitted from the display panel and a second light emitted from the at least one proximity sensing light emitting diode at different time periods.     Abstract: A fingerprint sensing device that includes an analog-front-end (AFE) circuit, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a correction circuit is introduced. The AFE circuit generates an image signal, and the ADC converts the image signal to an output digital code. The correction circuit receives a plurality of first output digital codes that are generated by performing a plurality of first fingerprint sensing operations in a plurality of first exposure time periods. The correction circuit is further configured to calculate a second exposure time period for a second fingerprint sensing operation according to the first output digital codes and the first exposure time periods, wherein the fingerprint sensing device performs the second fingerprint operation in the second exposure time period to generate a second output digital code.

    Abstract: A fingerprint sensing device and a driving method for a fingerprint sensing panel thereof are provided. The driving method includes: detecting whether a finger touch occurs on the fingerprint sensing panel; during a period of the finger touch, switching the brightness mode of the fingerprint sensing panel from a normal brightness mode to a high brightness mode so as to sense a fingerprint; driving the fingerprint sensing panel to sense the fingerprint before a mode switching time point at which the brightness mode of the fingerprint sensing panel is switched to the high brightness mode. The fingerprint sensing panel includes a pixel row, wherein the pixel row is subjected to a reset, an exposure period and a sampling in sequence to output a row sensing result, the reset is earlier than the mode switching time point, and the sampling is later than the mode switching time point.
