Abstract: A rotary damper is provided so that air incorporated into a housing during assembly is, not excessively compressed, whereby a generation of a peculiar sound due to the air incorporated into the housing can be prevented even though the rotor rotates in both directions, and so that the air is stopped and captured in a fixed place whereby influence on the generated torque can be reduced, and irregularity of the torque can be reduced progressively.A rotary damper includes a housing (11, 51), silicon oil housed inside the housing (11, 51), a rotor 31 housed inside the housing (11, 51), and having a shaft member (32) projecting from the housing (11, 51) and having a resistance member (36) moving through the silicon oil (21) inside the housing (11, 51), and an O-ring (61) for preventing leakage of the silicon oil (21) from between the shaft member (32) and the housing (51). A circumferential groove (54) is provided on an inner face of the housing (51) facing the resistance member (36).

Abstract: A one-way clutch includes an outer member with inner teeth; an inner member rotatably retained in the outer member concentrically with the same and having a depression formed in an outer circumference thereof; at least one planet gear loosely and rotatably retained in the depression and engaging the inner teeth; and a removed portion formed in the outer circumference of the inner member adjacent the depression. When the inner member rotates in one direction with respect to the outer member, the planet gear freely rotates inside the depression. When the inner member rotates in an opposite direction with respect to the outer member, a part of teeth of the planet gear engages the removed portion. The planet gear is retained in the depression via a moving-range regulating member for regulating a moving range of the planet gear in radial and circumferential directions.

Abstract: A damper is provided having an assist grip into which the damper is built. The damper includes a housing having an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder which disposed concentrically with each other and an annular space formed between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder containing a viscous fluid; a cylindrical rotor accommodated in the housing and which receives a damping action from the viscous fluid; a ring-shaped sealing member for preventing viscous fluid leakage; and an annular cap provided independently of the rotor and mounted to the housing, and which retains the rotor and the sealing member in the housing. Abstract: A power transmission device includes a pair of gear assemblies and an idle. Each of the gear assemblies includes a first gear having continuous external teeth on a peripheral wall and a second gear having continuous external teeth on a peripheral wall. The first gear and second gear are arranged to form a one-way clutch. When the first gear rotates in one direction relative to the second gear, the first gear is not connected to the second gear. When the first gear rotates in the other direction relative to the second gear, the first gear is connected to the second gear. The external teeth of the first gears in the gear assemblies engage each other, and the external teeth of the second gears in the gear assemblies engage the idle gear. One direction output at the second gear is obtained regardless of an input direction at the first gear.
