摘要: A rotary hinge assembly includes a fluid chamber filled with a fluid and a constricted section with a throat area which is tunable by a throat tuner to control the fluid flow passing through the constricted section. Within the fluid chamber, a rotary connecting pin is mounted so that a first longitudinal end of the pin is connected to a door, and a second longitudinal end of the pin is concentrically and rotatably mounted within the fluid chamber. On the second longitudinal end, a vane is connected and adapted to rotate for displacing the fluid present in the fluid chamber towards the constricted section, when the rotary connecting pin undergoes the rotational movement in response to opening and closing of the door.

摘要: A fluid valve damper is provided with a core, body and a valve. The body houses a fluid and a portion of the core. The valve is rotationally attached to the core and may include at least one wing shaped to mate with at least one lip of the core. The valve is disposed between the core and the body. The core may rotate: (1) in a first direction to create a passage between the lip of the valve and the wing of the core for fluid to flow therethrough, and (2) in a second direction so that the wing of the core contacts and mates with the lip of the valve so that further rotation of the core in the second direction forces the core and the valve to rotate together while disallowing fluid to flow between the passage.

A damping characteristic of the rotary damper is to vary based on a driving condition of the vehicle.

摘要: A device adjusts the rotational damping of a steering device such that the rotational damping varies depending on whether the rotational motion about a steering axis is caused by a force acting on the steering device of the vehicle or a force acting on the part(s) of the vehicle contacting the ground. The flow of hydraulic fluid in the steering damper partly or wholly is adjusted by a main valve unit that is coupled together with both an attaching part and a steering device. The opening area of the main valve unit is determined by a relative motion between the attaching part and the steering device such that the flow of the hydraulic fluid in a direction from and to the respective damping chambers of the steering damper is controlled depending on the cause of the rotational movement.

摘要: A damper assembly for a rotating shaft includes an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve extending along a longitudinal axis. The outer sleeve is disposed radially outward of the inner sleeve relative to the longitudinal axis. The inner sleeve is rotatable relative to the outer sleeve about the longitudinal axis. A damping fluid is disposed between the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve. At least one of the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve includes a damping feature, such as a fin, vein, channel, etc., which engages the damping fluid. The engagement between the damping feature and the damping fluid resists rotation of the inner sleeve relative to the outer sleeve to attenuate torsional vibration disturbances transmitted to the inner sleeve.

摘要: The rotary damper comprises: case having viscous fluid 13 filled cylindrical chamber; rotor housed in the chamber; check valve; and pressure-regulating valve. In the chamber, projecting bulkheads are formed. The rotor comprises: the rotor body and vanes. The check valve closes when the rotor rotates in the normal rotation direction, so as to restrict movement of the viscous fluid between areas 111a-111d partitioned by the bulkheads and the vanes. On the other hand, the check valve opens when the rotor rotates in the reverse rotation direction, so as to allow movement of the viscous fluid between the areas 111a-111d. The pressure-regulating valve opens when rotating force applied for rotating the rotor in the normal rotation direction is above a predetermined value, to cancel the restriction of movement of the viscous fluid between the areas 111a-111d.
