Abstract:
Multicast and/or broadcast service may be provided to one or more radio access networks, such as using one or more multicast broadcast gateways and/or one or more nodes, such as coordination function nodes. A multicast broadcast gateway may be connected to a node via a control plane interface. The node may be associated with a base station configured to provide one or more of multicast transmissions or broadcast transmissions to user devices from a broadcast multicast core network. The multicast broadcast gateway may also be connected to the base station via a user plane interface. The multicast broadcast gateway may send, to the node and via the control plane interface, one or more control signals. The multicast broadcast gateway may send, to the base station and via the user plane interface, one or more user signals. The multicast broadcast gateway and/or node may be used to setup, update, and/or stop multicast and/or broadcast sessions.
Abstract:
Avoiding secondary cell configuration for high speed user equipment The present invention provides methods, apparatuses and computer program product relating to avoiding Scell configuration for high speed user equipment. The present invention includes determining, at a user equipment located in a coverage area of a first base station and a second base station, a mobility state of the user equipment, if it is determined that the user equipment is in a high mobility state, enabling configuring only a primary serving cell at the first base station.
Abstract:
The present subject matter relates to a method comprising determining a first estimate of a position of a user equipment comprised in a communication system; using the first estimate of the position of the user equipment for defining wavelengths of the groups of signals such that a virtual number of wavelengths that represents each group of signals can be obtained from the defined wavelengths of the group of signals; controlling the communication system for performing carrier phase measurements using the defined groups of signals; determining a second estimate of the position of the user equipment using the carrier phase measurements and the virtual numbers of wavelengths that represent the groups of signals; providing the second estimate of the position of the user equipment.
Abstract:
Various example embodiments are disclosed herein. A technique is provided for detecting, by a secondary base station (BS), a trigger condition in a wireless network, the wireless network including a mobile station (MS) that is connected to both a master base station (master BS) and a secondary base station (secondary BS), and sending a protocol data unit (PDU) status report from the secondary BS to the master BS in response to the secondary BS detecting the trigger condition, the PDU status report identifying one or more PDUs or portions thereof for further transmission to the MS.
Abstract:
An example technique may include establishing a multiple connection session in a wireless network by a user device, the multiple connection session including a first connection between the user device and a first cell and a second connection between the user device and a second cell, wherein the first connection and the second connection are independent, and wherein one or more downlink data units for the multiple connection session are received by both the first cell and the second cell, controlling sending, by the user device to the first cell, a request to receive a first group of data units of the multiple connection session, and controlling sending, by the user device to the second cell, a request to receive a second group of data units of the multiple connection session, wherein the first group of data units is different than the second group of data units.
