Abstract:
Indication of delivery-path information may benefit various communication systems. For example, wireless communication systems may benefit from per-protocol data unit delivery-path indication to data recipient or from setting a timer expiry value dependent on such received information. A method can comprise sending, by a data-sending protocol entity, a control protocol data unit. The control protocol data unit can identify protocol data units destined to a data-receiving protocol entity. The method can also comprise providing in the control protocol data unit, for each of the identified protocol data units, a direct or indirect indication of at least one delay figure of a delivery path chosen for an initial transmission of the identified protocol data unit.
Abstract:
A technique is provided for retransmitting data in a dual connectivity network in which a mobile station (MS) is connected to a first base station (BS) via a first radio link and to a second BS via a second radio link, including sending, by a first protocol entity of the MS, a protocol data unit (PDU) to a first entity of a second protocol of the MS for transmission to the first BS via the first radio link, detecting a trigger condition at the MS associated with the PDU, and re-sending, by the first protocol entity of the MS, the PDU to a second entity of the second protocol of the MS for transmission to the second BS via the second radio link.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus can be configured to determine an indicator based on a received request. The method can also include transmitting the indicator towards a base station. The indicator affects the coverage of a multicast-broadcast single-frequency network transmission.
Abstract:
Apparatuses and methods in a communication system are disclosed. A relay node in a network is disclosed. The network comprises a set of nodes operationally connected to the relay node. The relay node receives (500) a routing configuration, receives (502) a packet to be routed, reads (504) at least one header field of the packet, selects (506) a route for forwarding the packet based on the at least one header field and the routing configuration, applies (508) at least one restriction related to the packet based on at least one of the routing configuration and the at least one header field, and forwards (510) the packet to the selected route.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus may include configuring a split bearer. The split bearer is configured with a first data path between a user equipment and a first network node, and the split bearer is also configured with a second data path between the user equipment and a second network node. The split bearer is configured for a switching operation. The switching operation includes an operation where data transmission is restricted to be towards only one of the first data path and the second data path. The method also includes first transmitting on the split bearer towards the first data path. The method also includes performing the switching operation. The transmitting towards the first data path is switched to transmitting towards the second data path. The method also includes second transmitting on the split bearer towards the second data path.
Abstract:
This document discloses a solution of maintaining service continuity in a multimedia broadcast service provided by a cellular network in a multimedia broadcast service area. A base station may transmit, in at least one cell provided by the base station, control information comprising an information element, wherein the information element may comprise an identifier of the multimedia broadcast service area and an indication that may cause at least one terminal device located in the at least one cell to request the multimedia broadcast service content as a transmission addressed to the at least one terminal device. The at least one terminal device may receive the control information comprising the information element that may cause the at least one terminal device to request the multimedia broadcast service content as the transmission addressed to the at least one terminal device.
Abstract:
Content service(s) to device(s) is provided. Availability of broadcast transmission of said content is determined after an indication is signaled that a dedicated unicast radio bearer is needed/is not needed for reception of said. Subsequent to reception of the indication the content is transmitted over a dedicated unicast radio bearer or broadcasting. Transmission of the content can be supported by an indication of a need for a continued network connection for the device even when the amount of unicast traffic over the connection in a core network does not justify maintenance of the connection to cause the core network to refrain from releasing said network connection. Unicasting of content to a device moving from a first to a second cell can be continued based on signaling of a message to a control entity of a second cell, the message providing information of the identity of the service(s).
Abstract:
A relay node within a network, the network further comprising at least one donor node coupled to the relay node, and a mobile termination coupled to the relay node and at least one donor node, the relay node comprising means for: receiving a configuration message; configuring the relay node, based on the configuration message, to perform at least one of: receiving packets from the mobile termination and originating from one of the donor nodes; and sending packets to one of the donor nodes by transmitting them to the mobile termination.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for packet backtracking and/or rerouting by integrated access and backhaul (IAB) nodes are provided. One method may include receiving, at a network node, a packet over an ingress link. The method may also include determining whether the packet is being returned as undeliverable, and, when it is determined that the packet is being returned as undeliverable, re-routing, discarding or sending the packet over a return egress link.
Abstract:
According to an embodiment, a method may include receiving, by a target network entity, at least one message from an integrated access and backhaul node. The method may further include receiving at least one handover request. The method may further include associating, based on the at least one message and the at least one handover request, by the target network entity, at least one mobile termination of at least one integrated access and backhaul node with at least one distributed unit of the at least one integrated access and backhaul node.
