Abstract: A light source device for endoscope includes a rotational body configured to rotate with a rotational axis as a center; a fluorescent body arranged in a predetermined area of the rotational body and configured to generate fluorescence by excitation light being radiated; an illuminating portion capable of selectively radiating excitation light of a first quantity and excitation light of a second quantity which is larger than the first quantity to a fluorescent body; and a control portion configured to switch between a first state of radiating the excitation light of the first quantity to the fluorescent body arranged in a first area and a second state of radiating the excitation light of the second quantity to the fluorescent body arranged in a second area.

Abstract: The present invention provides a receptacle connector including: a grounding portion configured to ground a connection object; and a ground connection terminal that is configured to be switchably held in a first state in which the ground connection terminal is electrically separated from the grounding portion, or in a second state in which the ground connection terminal is electrically brought into conduction with the grounding portion. The ground connection terminal is switched between the first state and the second state in operative association with interlining of the plug connector and the fitting portion. In the first state, the grounding terminal and the grounding portion are electrically separated. In the second state, the grounding terminal and the grounding portion are electrically brought into conduction with each other through the ground connection terminal.

Abstract: An endoscope apparatus includes: first and second cooling units configured to cool first and second light source portions; an image pickup portion configured to generate a picked-up image; and a cooling control portion configured to control amounts of light emission of the light source portions while maintaining an amount-of-light ratio so that the brightness of the picked-up image becomes the target brightness and control cooling based on the information about the amount-of-light ratio and the brightness control information; wherein the cooling control portion decides a cooling capacity of the first cooling units and a cooling capacity of the second cooling units for cooling the respective light source portions for which the amounts of light emission are controlled, at the cooling ratio, so as to cause the light source portions to be included within a predetermined temperature range, based on the brightness control information.
