Abstract: A treatment system that includes a treatment instrument to apply a treatment energy to a living tissue from an end effector according to a supplied electric power to incise the living tissue, an imaging device to generate a captured image capturing a state in which the treatment energy is applied from the end effector to the living tissue, and a control device that includes a processor to control operation of the imaging device. The processor acquires the captured image, calculates a temporal change amount based on any one of a predetermined point and a predetermined area in the captured image as a determination value, determines whether incision of the living tissue has been completed based on the determination value, and in response to determining that incision of the living tissue has been completed, execute an instruction to stop supply of the electric power to the treatment instrument.

Abstract: A treatment system includes a treatment tool, an imaging apparatus, and a control device. The treatment tool is configured to perform treatment on a living tissue by applying treatment energy from an end effector to the living tissue based on supplied electric power. The imaging apparatus captures an image of the living tissue in a state in which the treatment energy is applied from the end effector to the living tissue. The control device includes a processor to control the imaging apparatus by acquiring the captured image, determining whether an abnormality has occurred in the end effector based on the acquired captured image, and executing an instruction to stop supply of the electric power to the treatment tool when determining that the abnormality has occurred in the end effector.

Abstract: A method of actuating an ultrasonic drive device includes sweeping, by a first control circuit, a frequency at which an ultrasonic transducer oscillates from a predetermined frequency toward a resonant frequency, predicting, by a prediction circuit, whether or not ringing occurs based on a first parameter representing a driving state of the ultrasonic transducer, and if the prediction circuit predicts that the ringing does not occur and if a second parameter representing a frequency at which the ultrasonic transducer is driven satisfies a predetermined condition, resonantly driving, by a second control circuit, the ultrasonic transducer at a resonant frequency by PLL control.

Abstract: A power supply connected to an ultrasonic treatment instrument. The power supply includes an oscillator, a field programmable gate array (FPGA), and a drive circuit. The oscillator generates a basic clock. The FPGA receives the basic clock generated by the oscillator. The FPGA generates a pulse width modulation (PWM) wave for driving a ultrasonic transducer based on the basic clock. The drive circuit is connected to the FPGA, and digitally amplifies the PWM wave to output the amplified PWM wave. The FPGA outputs the PWM wave when an output signal for driving the ultrasonic treatment instrument is input, and the PWM wave is modulated by comparing a value of first data representing a sine wave in constant current control with a value of second data representing a reference wave. The FPGA outputs a rectangular wave with a predetermined duty ratio when the output signal is not input.
