Abstract: The present application provides a water treatment method, a water treatment device, and a slime inhibitor for membranes that are capable of, in water treatment using a separation membrane and a reverse osmosis membrane in the subsequent stage, inhibiting the generation of a slime both in the separation membrane and in the reverse osmosis membrane by a simple method. The water treatment method includes adding an iodine-based oxidizer to water to be treated, subjecting the water to be treated obtained during the adding of the iodine-based oxidizer to filtration with the separation membrane, and causing filtrated water obtained during the filtration to be separated with the reverse osmosis membrane into permeated water and concentrated water.

Abstract: Provided is a water treatment method with which, in a reverse osmosis membrane treatment conducted on water being treated that contains chlorine-based oxidants and/or bromine-based oxidants, or on water being treated that contains iodide ions, it is possible to suppress any deterioration in a reverse osmosis membrane and to suppress the formation of slime. This water treatment method includes a reverse osmosis membrane treatment, the water treatment method involving: adding, to water being treated that contains chlorine-based oxidants and/or bromine-based oxidants, 1 mol or more of iodide ions per mole of the free chlorine content and free bromine content of the water being treated; or adding, to water being treated that contains iodide ions, a chlorine-based oxidant and/or a bromine-based oxidant such that the free chlorine content and free bromine content reach 1 mol or less per mole of iodide ions in the water being treated.

Abstract: Provided is a water recovery system and a water recovery method whereby, in water recovery using a reverse osmosis membrane from water to be treated containing organic matter, it is possible to also suppress slime contamination on the secondary side of the reverse osmosis membrane. A water recovery system includes: a reverse osmosis membrane treatment device which separates water to be treated containing organic matter into permeated water and concentrated water with a reverse osmosis membrane; iodine-based oxidizing agent adding piping which adds an iodine-based oxidizing agent to the water to be treated; and permeated water piping as a supply means for supplying the permeated water as water to be treated in a water utilization system.

Abstract: A water treatment method that uses a reaction tank and involves repeatedly performing an operation cycle including: an inflow step for causing an inflow of waste water; a biological treatment step for subjecting the waste water to biological treatment using biological sludge; a sedimentation step for causing the biological sludge to settle; and a drainage step for draining biologically-treated water that has undergone the aforementioned biological treatment. The reaction tank is provided with an inflow port that is disposed at a position lower than an interface position of a biological sludge bed formed at the bottom of the reaction tank in the sedimentation step, and an inflow pipe that extends upward in the vertical direction from the inflow port. In the inflow step, the waste water is caused to gravitationally flow down in the inflow pipe so as to be fed into the biological sludge bed from the inflow port.
