摘要: It is an object to provide a high-quality display device which prevents deterioration of color purity by use of a black matrix whose openings have sufficiently high partitions by a simple procedure. The black matrix BM is formed using an electroconductive black glass, comprising a glass incorporated with a black additive and electroconductive filler. The glass is mainly composed of V2O5, SnO2, Bi2O3, Ag2O or a combination thereof.

摘要: A flat type display device is provided which is capable of accurately and easily assembling a spacer when arranging the spacer while reducing the danger of damaging the metal back. In the display device, a plurality of fine holes each having a fluorescent materials are formed on a light transparency substrate and a metal sheet is arranged by a black oxide film formed on the surface of the light transparency substrate side so as to obtain a light absorbing layer. A plurality of concave portions are provided on a surface of the metal sheet of the rear substrate side. A metal back having an openings corresponding to predetermined areas containing each of the concave portions is superimposed on the metal sheet, thereby constituting an acceleration electrode of two-layer structure. The spacer is inserted into the concave portion on the metal sheet exposed in the opening of the metal back.

The flat panel display device has a rear substrate including an insulating substrate provided with many cold cathode elements for emitting electrons, a display substrate including a light-transmissive substrate disposed to face the rear substrate, and phosphors disposed on the light-transmissive substrate for generating light when excited by electron beams from the cold cathode elements, and a peripheral frame member. Provided on the light-transmissive substrate is a metal sheet perforated with plural fine holes arranged in a matrix configuration and having the phosphors disposed therewithin to form a light-emissive region.

摘要: A flat panel display apparatus includes a rear substrate in which a number of cold cathode devices for emitting electrons are formed on an insulative substrate; a display substrate in which phosphors are arranged in a matrix shape on a translucent substrate; supporting members which are arranged between the rear substrate and the display substrate and maintain intervals between them; and frame members, in which a space surrounded by the rear substrate, the display substrate, and the frame members is set to a vacuum atmosphere. It then becomes possible to provide an apparatus in which there is no remarkable change between a scanning line resistance value in the scanning line direction in a portion with spacers and that in a portion without a spacer, a luminance variation can be reduced, and the apparatus has a conduction connection structure of the spacers and the scanning lines.

摘要: The present invention provides a flat image display device having a support frame that is compatible with a large flat image display device and has a high bonding strength. The invention relates to a flat image display device including: a display substrate; a back substrate disposed opposite the display substrate with a specified clearance therebetween; and a frame glass disposed around the back substrate and the display substrate, for supporting the substrates with the specified clearance therebetween. The invention is characterized in that the frame glass includes frame glasses whose ends each have at least two steps and the stepped ends are in engagement with each other and bonded together.

摘要: The present invention prevents a phenomenon that some electrons emitted from electron sources are charged to partition walls from influencing trajectories of the electrons thus preventing the shortage of excitation of phosphor layers. An image display device includes electron sources to which an electric current is supplied from scanning signal lines by way of current supply electrodes. The image display device also includes partition walls which are arranged on at least some of the scanning signal lines. Further, the current supply electrodes are connected with the electron sources on a downstream side of the scanning signal lines.

摘要: In a matrix electron emitter display using a thin-film electron emitter, a required resistance value of a top electrode, which value is determined by voltage drop at the top electrode, is small, and selection of a material and film thickness of the top electrode have been limited. Use of cathode structure which improves the capability of feeding from a feeding line to a thin-film electron emitter element improves the electron emission efficiency, and permits achieving higher luminance and lower power of a display apparatus.
