Abstract: When a current-driven display device with an internal compensation method operates in a pause driving mode, a non-light emission period according to a light emission duty is provided in both a refresh frame period and a non-refresh frame period, and an on-bias applying period for applying on-bias to a drive transistor in a pixel circuit is provided in both the non-light emission periods. In the non-light emission period in the refresh frame period, an on-bias applying period is provided in a period from when data writing with threshold compensation is performed to when the light emission period starts. Thus, even when the light emission duty is low, the difference in the stress state of the drive transistor between the refresh frame period and the non-refresh frame period is reduced.

Abstract: An electro-optical device includes digital scanning lines, a digital signal line, and pixel circuits. Each circuit is coupled to a digital scanning line included in the digital scanning lines, and the digital signal line. Each pixel circuit includes a light-emitting element and a digital driving circuit that performs digital driving in which, when the pixel circuit is selected by the digital scanning line, display data is written to selected pixel circuit from the digital signal line, and a drive current is supplied to the light-emitting element of selected pixel circuit in an on-period of a length corresponding to a gray scale value of the display data. A field being a period in which one image is formed includes an all-pixels-light-off period in which the pixel circuits turn off the light-emitting elements, and a digital driving period in which the digital driving circuit performs the digital driving after the all-pixels-light-off period.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a plurality of source drivers outputting a gradation voltage signal and a selector switchably supplying the output gradation voltage signal to a plurality of data lines. The plurality of source drivers include a first source driver that has a first output buffer outputting a switching signal and a second source driver that has a second output buffer. Abstract: A display system includes an integrated laser and modulator device and a display assembly. The integrated laser and modulator device includes a laser component configured to facilitate light emission responsive to applied current and a modulator component configured to selectively modulate light responsive to applied signal. The modulator component is integrally coupled to the laser component via a bridging structure that intervenes between the laser component and the modulator component. At least a portion of the bridging structure facilitates power reflectivity into a laser cavity of the laser component. The bridging structure facilitates transmission of light emitted by the laser component into the modulator component for modulation by the modulator component to provide modulated light. The display assembly is configured to direct the modulated light provided by the integrated laser and modulator device to illuminate pixels to form an image.
