Abstract: The imaging device includes a camera body and an interchangeable lens unit detachably attached to the camera body, the imaging device including, an optical system including a focus lens, an infinite rotation type focus ring, a lens drive part moving the focus lens forward and backward in an optical axis direction of the optical system, a setting part allowing a user to set a rotation range of the focus ring, a storage part assigning and storing respective different rotation amounts of the focus ring to multiple positions within a movement stroke of the focus lens in accordance with a rotation range set in the setting part, and a control part driving the lens drive part to move the focus lens depending on a rotation amount of the focus ring to a position corresponding to the rotation amount stored in the storage part.

Abstract: An imaging apparatus of the present disclosure comprises: a processor; a memory storing instructions to be executed by the processor; a camera body including an imaging element and a display panel; and an interchangeable lens including a lens, a zoom ring that varies position of the lens, and a zoom encoder that detects information on zoom position of the zoom ring; the instructions including: determining whether the teleconverter is attached to the interchangeable lens; calculating the zoom position of the zoom ring; determining whether the zoom position is within a limited range in which optical performance deteriorates if the teleconverter is attached to the interchangeable lens; and changing information displayed on the display panel if the zoom position is within the limited range.

Abstract: The image pickup apparatus has a focus lens that adjusts focus on a subject, an operating section (an MF operation ring) that accepts user's operation, and a focus-lens driver that drives the focus lens in response to the user's operation. The focus-lens driver drives the focus lens so that a rotation amount at the operating section, which is required for moving a focus position by unit distance, is maintained at a constant level with no regard to a subject distance.

Abstract: An imaging apparatus including an exchangeable lens and a camera body. The camera body transmits a synchronizing signal having the same cycle as the cycle of the capturing operation in the imaging unit, to the interchangeable lens. The controller of the exchangeable lens performs a zoom tracking control by determining the focus position of the focus lens from the position of the zoom lens detected by the position detector by referring to the relation information, and controlling the focus lens driver to move the focus lens to the determined focus position, The controller performs the zoom tracking control in a cycle (for example, one-eighth) shorter than a cycle indicated by the synchronizing signal received from the camera body.
