Abstract: Techniques for extending battery life in a mobile device are provided. An example of a mobile device according to the disclosure includes at least one external motion detect sensor, a mobile device management module operably coupled to the at least one external motion detect sensor, the mobile device management module comprising at least one processor configured to detect a motion interrupt, load a partial image state into the mobile device management module, detect a motion that meets or exceeds while in the mobile device management module is in the partial image state, load a full image state into the mobile device management module, and enable the mobile device management module in a full active state.

Abstract: Methods for updating ephemeral keys on quick boot of a computing device, including determining, by a processor of the computing device, that a power-on transition is from a quick boot and generating, in a secure portion of the processor, a new ephemeral key for use in wrapping one or more encryption keys of a key ring for use in an unsecure portion of the processor in response to the quick boot. The secure portion of the processor may unwrap each of the one or more encryption keys of the key ring with a prior ephemeral key before wrapping the one or more encryption keys with the new ephemeral key.

Abstract: A system for global system memory management unit (SMMU) fault handling including a peripheral device having a guest virtual machine (GVM), the peripheral device configured to access a memory (DDR) through a system memory management unit (SMMU), a hosted hypervisor associated with the peripheral device, the GVM, the SMMU and the memory (DDR), where upon identification of a faulty memory transaction and a global SMMU fault being issued, the hosted hypervisor configured to identify that a stream identifier (SID) associated with the global SMMU fault is assigned to the GVM, and the hosted hypervisor configured to reset the GVM only such that a full system restart is avoided.
