Abstract: An embodiment may involve, based on a pre-defined trigger associated with a particular application, reading error data from a resource that is used by the particular application, wherein persistent storage contains definitions of a plurality of error scenarios, a plurality of fix scripts, and associations between each of the plurality of error scenarios and one or more of the plurality of fix scripts; applying one or more rules to the error data, wherein the rules involve pattern matching or parsing; based on applying the one or more rules, determining a particular error scenario represented in the error data, wherein the particular error scenario is one of the plurality of error scenarios; determining, based on the associations, a particular fix script associated with the particular error scenario, wherein the particular fix script is one of the plurality of fix scripts; and causing execution of the particular fix script.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to restarting a database node. A database node may allocate memory segments that include a restart segment for storing data records. The database node may spawn processes to read a log and replay log records of the log to update the restart segment to store data records. The database node may determine to perform a restart operation to transition from a first mode to a second mode. Performing the restart operation may include ceasing reading the log at a stop position and storing, based on the stop position, database state information that enables the processes to resume reading the log from the stop position. The database node may further deallocate the memory segments except for the restart segment and terminate the processes. After performing the restart operation, the database node may spawn the processes, which may resume reading the log based on the database state information.

Abstract: In a case where an active system virtual server detects stopping of a heartbeat received from a standby system virtual server, the active system virtual server notifies a coordination apparatus of the detection of the stopping of a heartbeat. In addition, the active system virtual server reports whether or not a service is operating to the coordination apparatus. The coordination apparatus instructs the standby system virtual server to restart the system in a case where the stopping of a heartbeat and the operation of a service are received. The standby system virtual server restarts the service, restarts an operating system, or restarts the operating system in a case where the restart of the service is not successful, in response to an instruction for restarting the system.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for a first data compute node (DCN) operating in a public datacenter. The method receives an encryption rule from a centralized network controller. The method determines that the network encryption rule requires encryption of packets between second and third DCNs operating in the public datacenter. The method requests a first key from a secure key storage. Upon receipt of the first key, the method uses the first key and additional parameters to generate second and third keys. The method distributes the second key to the second DCN and the third key to the third DCN in the public datacenter.
