    Abstract: A method for converting a computing device from a first configuration to a second configuration is provided. A power supply unit of the computing device is moved from a first location at a second end of the computing device to a second location at a first end of the computing device. The power supply unit is rotated such that a power interface of the power supply unit is visible from the first end of the computing device. A set of fans of the computing device is rotated such that airflow direction of the set of fans matches an airflow direction of the power supply unit at the second location. Converting the computing device from the first configuration to the second configuration can allow communication ports to be accessed from a front end or from a rear end of the computing device.

    Abstract: A computing device is provided with a slot that includes at least one locking element configured to receive a removable general purpose graphic processing unit (GPGPU) carrier. The GPGPU carrier includes a bracket with a first receiving space for securing a first GPGPU, and a second receiving space for securing a second GPGPU. The GPGPU carrier also includes a locking mechanism connected to the bracket and configured to secure the at least one locking element of the computing device to at least one securing mechanism corresponding to the at least one locking element. The locking mechanism includes a lever connected to gear drives configured to actuate the at least one securing mechanism upon actuating the lever.

    Abstract: A flexible shoulder pin module includes a barrel having an annular head portion, a cylindrical body portion, and a through-hole extending from a top surface of the body portion to a bottom end of the head portion; and a shoulder pin having a shaft portion and a shoulder portion formed thereon. The through-hole includes a first portion adjacent to the top surface of the body portion, and a second portion having a greater diameter than the first portion. The shaft portion is insertable through the first portion into the second portion. The shoulder portion is configured to adjustably extend above the top surface of the body portion to clamp a panel thereto. A compressible device is configured to be disposed around the shaft portion and secured by a stopper panel, which is coupled to the shaft portion and placed adjacent to the head portion within the second portion.

    Abstract: An air-shielding mechanism for a computing system is disclosed. A computing system includes a server chassis with a slot configured to receive a computing node. An air-shielding mechanism is positioned within the slot and includes a connecting rod movably coupled within the slot and a movable flap coupled to the connecting rod. The connecting rod rotates in a first direction in response to pressure generated by contact between the computing node inserted within the slot and the connecting rod. The movable flap is in a closed position when the computing node is absent from the slot, and the movable flap is in an open position when the computing node is fully inserted within the respective slot. The movable flap rotates in a second direction while the connecting rod is rotating in the first direction, the second direction being opposite the first direction.

    Abstract: A component for a cage is for holding electronic devices in a computing system. The component includes a cover with a hook, an emboss, and a main panel. The cover may be couplable to the cage by the hook and emboss. The component also includes a partition with a primary panel. The partition may be couplable to the cage by the primary panel. The cover is detachable from the partition. After the cover is detached from the partition, the cover may be rotated approximately 180 degrees and reinstalled into the cage. The cover may also include another emboss to fix the cover into the cage when the cover is installed in a rotated position. The cage may also include a top portion and a bottom portion. The top and bottom portions of the cage may include features that assist the partition and the cover to maintain a fixed position.
