摘要： The present invention relates to a doorholder assembly for a pocket door including a housing mountable on a vertical surface of the wall inside the pocket, an electromagnet having an armature engaging surface, an armature mounted on the door, adjustable mounting means for mounting the electromagnet to the housing to vary the distance that the armature engaging surface is disposed relative to the surface of the wall on which the housing is mounted to accommodate various door and pocket sizes to enable the visible surface of the door when in its held open position to be aligned coplaner with the wall outside of the pocket. Resilient means are associated with the armature to allow the armature to pivot relative to the armature engaging surface to compensate for angular misalignment between the armature and the armature engaging surface. The resilient means further absorbs vibration established upon energization of the electromagnet by AC current and prevents the transmittal of the vibration from the electromagnet to the door.

摘要： A door closer for moving a door connected thereto from an open position to a closed position includes a housing, a chamber located within the housing, a piston movable in the chamber in response to movement of the door and a linkage assembly connected to the door for transmitting door movement from the door to the piston. A fluid chamber is disposed on one side of the piston and the piston moves through the fluid chamber upon closing movement of the door. Valve means is provided for controlling the rate of fluid flow from the fluid chamber as the piston moves therethrough to thereby control the rate of movement of the piston and the damping force acting on the door. A spring is disposed in the chamber and acts on the piston to provide a force to move the door toward the closed position. Means are provided for rendering the spring ineffective to bias the piston to move the door toward its closed position while allowing the door to close under a manual force exerted thereon while the closing rate of the door is controlled by the valve means controlling the rate of fluid flow therethrough from the fluid chamber. Such a construction allows the door to be under full control of a hydraulic fluid control system when the closing force exerted by the spring means is rendered ineffective.

摘要： A door closer hold open assembly connectable to a door for closing a held open door in response to a control signal includes a housing, a linkage assembly connectable to the door, biasing means providing a restoring force to move the door to the closed position and a main piston assembly disposed in the housing and actuatable by the linkage to move the main piston against the force of the biasing means. A fluid chamber is disposed in the housing for exerting a force on the main piston to balance the force of the biasing means in a desired door position to maintain the main piston and the door in the position it was last moved to by the linkage assembly. First and second independently operable valve means are disposed in a parallel circuit and are operable to control the flow of fluid from the chamber. The first valve means is electrically controlled from a closed position to an open position and the second valve means is resiliently biased toward a closed position. The second valve means is operable upon the fluid in the chamber reaching a predetermined pressure to open against the resilient biasing force and provide for fluid flow therethrough from the chamber. The fluid in the chamber exerts a biasing force on the first valve means when the first valve means is in its closed position to bias the first valve means toward the closed position.

摘要： A door closer for regulating the movement of a door panel with respect to its frame has a body enclosing a chamber and an adjacent cylinder having a head. A piston is reciprocable in the cylinder toward and away from the head and in accordance with the door panel motion. A spring in the chamber urges the piston toward the head. A duct through the piston controlled by a check valve permits liquid flow from the chamber to the cylinder, but not vice versa. A passage in the body extends between the cylinder, near the head, and the chamber. In that passage near the head is a throttle valve for restricting liquid flow, and in the passage near the chamber is a bypass valve for restricting liquid flow and for permitting increased flow under increased liquid pressure. There is also a bore in the body extending between the passage intermediate the throttle valve and the bypass valve and an adjacent part of the cylinder traversed by the piston.
