Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel configured to display an image; a window panel covering the display panel, and including a display area configured to transmit the image and a non-display area surrounding the display area; and an adhesive layer between the display panel and the window panel, wherein the window panel includes: a window substrate facing the display panel; a protective layer on a portion of a surface of the window substrate in the non-display area; and a light blocking layer on the protective layer, wherein the protective layer is an organic-inorganic composite layer.
