    Abstract: A removable insert and a spray nozzle which includes the removable insert and a nozzle cap. The removable insert has a base member and a protruding member. The nozzle cap has an annular flange which delimits an interior locating surface for the insert. The flange extends radially and ends with an internal extremity which defines a planar spray opening. When in use, the base member is housed within the nozzle cap whilst the protruding member projects outwardly and stands proud of the planar spray opening.

    Abstract: An aspirating spray nozzle assembly includes a nozzle body and a distributor removably attached to one another. The nozzle body includes a first inlet, a first chamber, an orifice disc and an annular catchment. The first inlet has a first end and a second end. The first chamber facilitates diffusion of the liquid jet. The first chamber has a third end in communication with the second end of the first inlet and a fourth end in communication with the distributor. The orifice disc is received within the first inlet. The orifice disc has a dispersing means adapted to cause the liquid jet to spread. The annular catchment encircles the fourth end of the first chamber. The annular catchment is configured to catch and deflect a portion of liquid splashback by the interfering means such that the portion of deflected liquid splashback is redirected downstream into the distributor.

    Abstract: An aspirating spray nozzle including a cylindrical nozzle body, an integrated annular shroud and a nozzle cap. The cylindrical nozzle body has an externally threaded first end portion defining an inlet, a second end portion defining an outlet, and a middle portion. The integrated annular shroud encircles part of the nozzle body and has a base which is integrally joined to the middle portion by way of webbing means. The nozzle cap is adapted to be connected to the second end portion of the nozzle body.

    Abstract: A high-pressure spray nozzle assembly (10) has a nozzle body (20) and nozzle cap (30), which are operatively coupled and co-operatively house a retainer (40) having a clasp (42) for retaining wear components (50). The nozzle cap (30) has an open-stepped detent (32) formed in relief on an internal peripheral surface of the nozzle cap (30), which operatively permits sealing of the retainer (40) against the nozzle cap (30) as a consequence of hydraulic pressure applied by fluid delivered through the spray nozzle assembly (10).
