Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are provided for monitoring air flow through a server using differential pressure measurements. The device includes an external pressure sensor, an internal pressure sensor, and a controller that receives the pressures from the external and internal pressure sensors. The external pressure sensor detects air pressure of the ambient air around a server enclosure, the internal pressure sensor detects air pressure through a server enclosure, and the controller calculates a pressure differential between the pressure from the external pressure sensor and the internal pressure sensor. The controller can then generate a signal based on the pressure differential, the signal optionally controlling a cooling fan, generating an interrupt for the server circuitry, or performing some other action.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a method for determining a speed of a vehicle in a dead-reckoning system includes measuring a centripetal acceleration, using an accelerometer, of the vehicle traversing a curved path on a plane of travel. The method also includes measuring an angular velocity, using a gyroscope, of the vehicle. The speed of the vehicle is calculated from the centripetal acceleration and the angular velocity.

Abstract: An electronic device capable of determining an eye convergence angle using a magnetometer sensor is provided. The magnetometer sensor is capable of reporting angle readings in three dimensions that is aligned with an eye gaze direction of each eye of a user. The magnetometer which is incorporated into the device can fit into a human eye like a contact lens and determine the angle of the gaze direction of both eyes with respect to an object within a field of view. By obtaining this eye convergence angle for an object, it is possible to accurately detect depth information. The electronic device also functions as a digital contact lens that can automatically adjust the focal point of the object to provide the user with a clear vision. The electronic device also includes a display that provides the user with additional information about the object.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a gain control system that receives a signal and outputs a modulated signal. The signal modulation is based on a gain that is based on a detected distance between the gain control system and a user. The distance is detected with a ranging sensor which generates ranging data for a field of view, and then the gain control system analyzes the ranging data to identify the user, with a higher signal gain for the user at a greater distance and a lower signal gain for the user at a lesser distance.
