Abstract: There is provided a method of driving a display apparatus including a display panel having a plurality of pixels, a light source unit emitting light toward the display panel, and a control unit controlling the display panel and the light source unit. The method includes: displaying a light-emitting mode by operating the control unit to turn on a light source of the light source unit and transmit pixel data to the display panel; and displaying a non-light-emitting mode by operating the control unit to turn off the light source of the light source unit and turn on at least one pixel of the display panel.
