Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure provides a liquid crystal display device, which may comprise: a first substrate including a display area with a pixel area and a non-display area disposed to be adjacent to the display area, a pixel electrode disposed in the display area, a liquid crystal control electrode disposed in the non-display area; a second substrate including a common electrode on a surface facing the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate.
