Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method performed by a first node in a communication system includes transmitting a first message including first identity information to a second node, and receiving a second message including second identity information from the second node. The first message includes at least one of first forwarding information and first data information, the first forwarding information is used by the second node to forward data on an interface of a node indicated by the first identity information, and the first data information is used to include information of forwarded data on the interface of the node indicated by the first identity information.
