Abstract:
A method of controlling a screen brightness in a user device includes determining an illumination when a display unit is turned on, determining an optimal brightness according to the illumination and displaying according to the optimal brightness during an illumination change, determining an illumination when the current optimal brightness reaches a threshold, and determining an optimal brightness in the determined illumination and controlling a screen display according to the optimal brightness.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and an electronic device for performing an authentication on the basis of biometrics. The electronic device may acquire sensing data by sensing a target to be authenticated. The electronic device may calculate feature information from the sensing data. The electronic device may determine whether the calculated feature information and stored registered information match each other by using a dynamic matching scheme in which matching between the feature information and the registered information is variably performed according to a state of the electronic device. When the feature information and the registered information match each other on the basis of a result of the determination, the electronic device may generate an event for authentication success.
Abstract:
An electronic device having a display function and operating method therefor are provided, which display a transformed image based on image processing information, in order to reduce current normally consumed in displaying regions of an original image that are not perceivable to a user. The method includes obtaining an image to be displayed; determining image processing information of the electronic device; transforming the image based on the image processing information; and displaying the transformed image.
Abstract:
A method for performing user authentication by using a fingerprint in an electronic device is provided. The method includes obtaining fingerprint image and fingerprint position information corresponding to an area of the user's finger, comparing the fingerprint image obtained by using fingerprint position information with a pre-registered fingerprint image corresponding to the position of the area to thereby perform the user authentication, and pairing the fingerprint image corresponding to the area of the user's finger with the fingerprint position information to be thereby stored in the memory.
