摘要: An electronic device includes a display panel having a display surface. The display surface includes a first region and a second region arranged along a first direction. The display panel outputs a first light in the first region and a second light in the second region. The first light has a first normal brightness in a first orthogonal direction perpendicular to the first direction and a first oblique brightness in a first inclined direction. The first orthogonal direction and the first inclined direction form a first acute included angle. The second light has a second normal brightness in a second orthogonal direction and a second oblique brightness in a second inclined direction. The second orthogonal direction and the second inclined direction form a second acute included angle. The first oblique brightness and the second oblique brightness are different.

摘要: PWM-frame rate misalignment is mitigated through implementation of a discrete variable refresh rate (VRR) scheme. A target frame rate is limited to a frame rate selected from only those frame rates that facilitate alignment of each frame period to a specified edge of a PWM cycle of a brightness control signal of a display panel. This alignment results in each frame period at the selected frame rate starting at a same point in a corresponding PWM cycle and ending at a same point in a corresponding PWM cycle to help ensure a constant effective duty cycle across each successive frame period, which in turn mitigates perception of flicker that otherwise would arise. Further, the discrete VRR scheme can employ a compensation mode for compensating for the delay in rendering or otherwise obtaining a frame for display so as to maintain a consistent duty cycle in the brightness control signal.

摘要: A method of operating a liquid crystal display (LCD) device is disclosed. The device comprises an LCD screen held by a housing, a camera positioned within the housing, and a backlight arranged to illuminate the LCD screen. The method comprises displaying a first image on the LCD screen by setting a first set of elements of the LCD screen to transmit light and illuminating the LCD screen with the backlight. After switching off the backlight, a second set of elements is set to transmit light with colour filters off, and an image is captured with the camera. After capturing the image, a second image is displayed on the LCD screen by setting a third set of elements to transmit light and illuminating the LCD screen with the backlight.

The light emission timing of the one or more light emission regions that emit light first is different from the light emission timing of the one or more other light emission regions that emit light last.

摘要: A control method for a backlight circuit includes: obtaining a plurality of pieces of dimming data in a preset period of time; determining total accumulated electric energy received by the backlight source according to the plurality of pieces of dimming data in the preset period of time; and generating a first voltage control signal when the total accumulated electric energy reaches a preset electric energy threshold. The dimming data is used to control a backlight source to emit light. The preset period of time is from an initial moment of continuous light emission of the backlight source to a current moment. The first voltage control signal is used to reduce the working voltage of the backlight source. When the total accumulated electric energy reaches the preset electric energy threshold, reducing the working voltage of the backlight source does not affect a light emitting brightness of the backlight source.

The method includes: setting display screen brightness in response to an automatic brightness setting instruction; adjusting the display screen brightness in response to a brightness setting instruction generated by manually adjusting brightness by a user; determining, when a display screen is on again after the display screen is off, whether a mechanism of clearing the display screen brightness manually adjusted is triggered; if the mechanism of clearing the display screen brightness manually adjusted is triggered, setting the display screen brightness again in response to the automatic brightness setting instruction; determining, in response to an operation of manually adjusting the display screen brightness again, whether the operation of manually adjusting the display screen brightness again is the same as a previous operation of manually adjusting the display screen brightness.
