    Abstract: A clothes dryer comprising: a cabinet; a control panel including a power button and a display; a drum rotatable inside the cabinet; a filter to filter air discharged from the drum; a filter sensor to detect a mounting state of the filter and output a detection signal based on the mounting state of the filter detected; a memory to record a change in the mounted state of the filter as an event based on the mounting state of the filter detected by the filter sensor; and a processor to communicatively connect to the control panel, the filter sensor, the memory, and to control the display so that the display displays a notification related to the management of the filter based whether the event due to the change in the mounting state of the filter is recorded in the memory.

    Abstract: The dryer apparatus according to the disclosure includes a drum configured to accommodate subjects to be dried, a dryness sensor configured to sense the humidity of the subjects to be dried, a hot wind supplying device configured to provide hot wind to the drum, and at least one processor configured to, based on a user input for a predetermined drying cycle being acquired, acquire a humidity value of the subjects to be dried through the dryness sensor, based on the humidity value of the subjects to be dried being less than a threshold value, perform a washing pre-processing cycle, and based on the humidity value of the subjects to be dried being greater than or equal to the threshold value, control the hot wind supplying device to perform the predetermined drying cycle, wherein the washing pre-processing cycle includes at least one of a cycle of rotating the drum, a cycle of providing moisture to the drum, or a cycle of providing hot wind to the drum based on threshold temperature information.

    Abstract: A dryer includes a drum, an air blowing module configured to form an air flow to be brought into the drum, a filter configured to filter out foreign substances included in air discharged out of the drum in the air flow, an input/output interface, a memory to store at least one instruction, and at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to execute the at least one instruction stored in the memory to determine whether the filter is separated and installed after a previous dry operation, increase a number of successive operation times based on a dry operation type of the dryer in response to the filter being not separated and installed, and control the input/output interface to provide a notification to guide separation of the filter from the dryer and cleaning of the separated filter from the dryer based on the number of successive operation times.

The clothes dryer includes a rotatably disposed drum, a heat pump system including a compressor configured to compress a refrigerant and a condenser configured to condense the refrigerant, a heater configured to heat air supplied to the interior of the drum, a first temperature sensor configured to detect a temperature of air passing through the interior of the drum, a second temperature sensor configured to detect a temperature of the compressor, and a processor configured to control an operation of the compressor on the basis of the temperature of the air passing through the interior of the drum detected by the first temperature sensor and control an operation of the heater on the basis of the temperature of the compressor detected by the second temperature sensor.
