Abstract: Leaky wave antenna of AFSIW structure comprising a top substrate layer and a bottom substrate layer sandwiching an intermediate layer comprising a longitudinal aperture of length L defining a waveguide and whose width W1 is delimited by two conductive lateral walls. The inner faces of the conductive lateral walls are coated with a layer of dielectric material of thickness w(z). The top layer has a longitudinal radiating slot of width Wf (z) facing the longitudinal aperture of the intermediate layer. The thickness w(z) of the dielectric coating varies along the longitudinal axis z according to a given law, defined so as to obtain variations along the axis z of the amplitude Alpha(z) and of the phase Beta(z) of the leaky wave of the guide.

Abstract: The modulation includes in amplifying the microwave signal phase shifted by a given angle into a first sinusoidal signal, in order to obtain a first amplified signal; and in amplifying the microwave signal phase shifted by the given angle increased by π into a second sinusoidal signal phase shifted by π with respect to the first signal, in order to obtain a second amplified signal phase shifted by π with respect to the first amplified signal; the modulated microwave signal being the sum of the first amplified signal and the second amplified signal.

Abstract: The elementary antenna 1 includes: two cross-shaped slots 32, 33 defining four half-slots; for each half-slot, excitation striplines 41, 42, the first stripline 41 being connected to a first via 61 and the second stripline 42 being connected to a second via 62; an integrated circuit 70 delivering a plurality of ports; for each half-slot, tracks for feeding the strips, the first track 51 running from a first port 71 to the first via 61 and the second track 52 running from a second port 72 to the second via 62, the first and second ports being two successive ports of the integrated circuit, differentially connected to a transmitter/receiver channel by first and second power lines situated inside the integrated circuit, the lines and tracks running so that there is no crossing of the respective routes thereof.
