Abstract: An ultraviolet (UV) light sanitizing system and method are configured to sanitize at least one surface within an enclosed space. The UV light sanitizing system includes a UV light assembly that is selectively moveable between a stowed position and a deployed position. The UV light assembly is stowed within a stowage chamber connected to the enclosed space in the stowed position. The UV light assembly deploys out of the stowage chamber and into the enclosed space in the deployed position.

Abstract: A support panel assembly includes a lower panel, an upper panel pivotally coupled to the lower panel by a central pedestal, and a first pressure sensor coupled to the central pedestal. The first pressure sensor detects pressure exerted into the upper panel in response to the upper panel pivoting in relation to the lower panel about the central pedestal. The first pressure sensor outputs a pressure signal indicative of pressure exerted into the upper panel. In at least one embodiment, the pressure signal is received by a detecting control unit.

Abstract: A sanitization system for a space includes an ultraviolet (UV) light source configured to emit UV light towards a UV light zone at a UV light level, a motion sensor device configured to sense movements of one or more individuals, and a controller. The controller is configured to determine, based on the movements of the one or more individuals, an exposure parameter value for each of the one or more individuals in the UV light zone, determine that the value of the exposure parameter determined for at least one of the one or more individuals exceeds a threshold value, and, responsive to determining that the value of the exposure parameter determined for the at least one of the one or more individuals exceeds the threshold value, cause the UV light source to reduce the UV light level of the UV light emitted towards the UV light zone.

Abstract: An adaptable sanitizing system includes a sanitizing head including an ultraviolet (UV) lamp configured to emit UV light. One or more adapter modules are configured to removably couple to the sanitizing head at a coupling interface. The one or more adapter modules are configured to provide a functionality in relation to the UV light emitted by the UV lamp. The adapter module can include a shroud or frame that is configured to removably couple to the sanitizing head at a coupling interface, and an optical filter coupled to the shroud or the frame. The optical filter is configured to filter the UV light emitted by the UV lamp. The adapter module can include a shroud that is configured to removably couple to the sanitizing head at a coupling interface, and a fluid passage in fluid communication with an inlet and an outlet within the shroud. Fluid passes into the fluid passage through the inlet and passes out of the outlet. The UV light is emitted into the fluid passage as the fluid passes through the fluid passage between the inlet and the outlet.

Abstract: A system of monitoring carry-on items for a flight of an aircraft includes one or more cameras positioned to capture images of carry-on items associated with passengers of an aircraft. The system includes an interface configured to receive image data from the one or more cameras. The system also includes one or more processors coupled to the interface. The one or more processors are configured to analyze the image data to determine characteristics of a carry-on item. The one or more processors are configured to determine that one or more alert conditions are satisfied based on a comparison of one or more alert criteria to the characteristics of the carry-on item and data associated with the aircraft. The one or more processors are also configured to send, to one or more devices, an output based on satisfaction of the one or more alert conditions.

Abstract: A system and method for sanitizing a target zone include an infrared (IR) sensor, a control unit, and one or more ultraviolet (UV) lamps. The IR sensor is configured to generate thermal image data of a target zone within a space. The control unit includes one or more processors and is communicatively connected to the IR sensor and the one or more UV lamps. The control unit is configured to determine an occupancy status of the target zone based on the thermal image data and a reference temperature of the space. Each of the one or more UV lamps is configured to emit UV light into the target zone. The control unit is configured to operate the one or more UV lamps based on the determined occupancy status of the target zone.
