    摘要: A search apparatus searches for a keyword from a character recognition result using an index table. The character recognition result being obtained as a result of character recognition of characters in an original document. The index table includes an index character string; a position of a portion, in the character recognition result, which matches the index character string; and a credibility which is defined for each character included in the index character string and indicates a probability of the character existing in a portion, in the original document, which corresponds to a portion, in the character recognition result, which matches the character. The search apparatus includes a position specifying section for determining whether or not the keyword matches a portion in the character recognition result based on the index character string and the position of the portion in the character recognition result which matches the index character string included in the index table; and when a match is determined, for specifying the position of the portion in the character recognition result which matches the keyword; and a calculation section for calculating a keyword credibility which indicates a probability of the keyword existing at a position, in the original document, which corresponds to the position of the portion in the character recognition result which matches the keyword, based on the credibility included in the index table.

    摘要: A document search device searches for a keyword in a recognition result obtained by character recognition performed on a document image. The keyword includes at least one first character, and a character code is assigned to each of the at least one first character. The recognition result includes at least one second character, and a character code and a partial area of the document image are assigned to each of the at least one second character. The document search device includes a first matching portion specification section for determining whether or not the recognition result includes at least one first matching portion which matches the keyword based on a comparison of the character codes, and for, when it is included, specifying the at least one first matching portion; a first portion specification section for determining whether or not a remaining part of the recognition result other than the at least one first matching portion includes at least one first portion which fulfills a prescribed first condition, and for, when it is include, specifying the at least first portion; and a second matching portion specification section for determining whether or not the at least one first portion includes at least one second matching portion which matches the keyword based on a comparison of a feature amount of the partial area with a feature amount of an image of at least one first character included in the keyword, and for, when it is included, specifying the at least one second matching portion. The prescribed first condition includes a condition that the at least one first portion is in the vicinity of a specific second character having a width smaller than a prescribed value.

When a pixel of a predicted image in an inter prediction has a fractional pixel position that is not a ½ pixel position in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction in a reference image, a reference image read unit 41 reads predetermined reference pixels including reference pixels aligned in two oblique directions perpendicular to each other. A FIR filter 42 calculates a pixel in a fractional position in the reference image as the pixel of the predicted image, by using the read predetermined reference pixels. The present invention can be applied to encoding devices that perform compression encoding by H.264/AVC, for example.
