摘要： A tip guard is provided to protect a user of an air-assisted airless paint spray gun from injury. The shape of the tip guard is designed such that use of the tip guard is not detrimental to the fluid spray pattern emitted from the tip of the air-assisted airless paint spray gun. Use of the tip guard does not affect the size or shape of the fluid spray pattern, nor cause accumulation of paint upon the tip guard. The tip guard has a base having a shoulder and an aperture adapted for engagement to the air cap and tip of an air-assisted airless paint spray gun. The base further has a pair of transition portions extending axially forward from said aperture, where notches formed in the transition portions are adapted to engage the forwardly-extending horns of the air cap of an air-assisted airless paint spray gun. Each transition portion further has a pair of vanes extending forwardly and radially outwardly from the transition portion, where each of said pair of vanes is then joined by a crossbar.

摘要： A nozzle for use in a foam gun is designed so that the ports for the two materials both enter the flow passage in the same plane. This serves to eliminate lead/lag flow conditions which result in portions of the material being off-ratio. Counterbored or milled slots encircle the angled sealing surface with the slots machined in from alternating edges of the surface communicating with the respective flow passages for the two (or more) materials.

摘要： A liquid-atomizing spray gun having an improved nozzle construction for spraying liquids under predetermined hydraulic pressures, and with the assistance of carbon dioxide gases, wherein the nozzle includes a forwardly-projecting shield having ports directed toward the atomized spray pattern emanating from a spray tip. The nozzle also includes ports for ejecting CO.sub.2 gas for assisting in the atomization process, the overall design providing CO.sub.2 -assisted hydraulic spraying and preventing air entrainment into the atomized particles in the region proximate the spray nozzle.
