    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for providing power ramp rate control of a hybrid power plant with a plurality of energy assets including wind turbine generators and possibly solar power units, and an energy storage unit. Each energy asset has a ramp rate capability defined as the highest possible ramp rate at a given time, and the method includes receiving from each energy asset the corresponding ramp rate capability, and taking into account the ramp rate capabilities from the energy assets when calculating the power setpoint to each energy asset, so as to improve the power ramp rate control of the hybrid power plant.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a hybrid power plant for producing power to the electrical grid, the hybrid power plant comprising a plurality of energy assets; a first renewable power generating unit, such as wind turbine generators, a second renewable power generating unit, such as a plurality of solar power units, and an energy storage unit, such as a battery energy storage system. A power plant controller is arranged to perform a first comparison of an active power reference with an available power from the first and the second renewable power generating units and performing a second comparison of available charging, or discharging, capability of the energy storage unit with said first comparison.     Abstract: The invention relates to a power plant connected to an electrical grid and a method for controlling the power plant. The power plant comprises one or more power generators and at least one synchronous condenser. The power generators may be wind turbine generators, solar photovoltaic elements or other kinds of renewable power generators. During a deviation in frequency on the electrical grid, the synchronous condenser counteracts the frequency deviation, but it may also unintentional supply active power during the frequency event. The control method is controlling the active power supply from the power generators during the frequency events based only on the active power output from the power generators.

The hybrid power plant has a power plant controller arranged to communicate with the plurality of energy assets, and, when an under-frequency event occurs, the energy storage unit provides frequency support during the under-frequency event by providing additional power as a function of a state of charge of the energy storage unit at the time when the under-frequency event occurs. Thus, during an under-frequency event, it is possible to obtain a more stable power output from the hybrid power plant.
