Abstract:
Systems and methods for Multi-Radio Access Technology (RAT) Carrier Aggregation (MRCA) wireless wide area network (WWAN) assisted wireless local area network (WLAN) flow mapping and flow routing are disclosed. One system comprises a dynamic flow mapping module that is configured to form a flow-mapping table to dynamically map service flows between the WWAN radio and the WLAN radio in the wireless device. A flow routing module is configured to route data packets to one of the WWAN radio and the WLAN radio in the wireless device based on the flow-mapping table to transmit and receive the data packets via the wireless device.

Systems and methods for Multi-Radio Access Technology (RAT) Carrier Aggregation (MRCA) wireless wide area network (WWAN) assisted wireless local area network (WLAN) discovery, association, and flow switching are disclosed. One system comprises a control signaling module in a wireless device that includes a WWAN radio integrated with a WLAN radio. The control signaling module is configured to communicate WWAN control signaling and WLAN control signaling via a WWAN radio connection of the wireless device. A dynamic flow mapping module is configured to form a flow-mapping table to dynamically map service flows between the WWAN radio and the WLAN radio in the wireless device. A flow routing module is configured to route data packets to one of the WWAN radio and the WLAN radio in the wireless device based on the flow-mapping table to transmit and receive the data packets via the wireless device.
Abstract:
Technology for communicating a short message service (SMS) communication in a packet switched (PS) domain of an evolved packet system (EPS) network. One method comprises receiving, at a core network (CN) control node, a request message from a user equipment (UE) indicating that the UE supports PS based SMS and performs a circuit switched (CS) registration only to receive SMS service via a CS domain; and sending, from the CN control node, an accept message to the UE indicating that SMS over a non-access stratum (NAS) is supported by the CN control node.
Abstract:
Technology for communicating a short message service (SMS) communication in a packet switched (PS) domain of a serving general packet radio service (GPRS) support node SGSN in a Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN). In one embodiment, a PS support module is configured to receive a request message from a mobile station (MS), the request message including an Additional Update Type information element (IE), the Additional Update Type IE including information to indicate that the MS is to support a PS based short messaging service (SMS).
Abstract:
Systems and methods of a solar light and thermal energy collector assembly are disclosed. The system includes a central pole mounted vertically on a base, a support structure having concentric racks extending radially from the central pole, the racks positioned at different vertical distances along the central pole and having a configuration that supports the solar panels, wherein each rack does not impede the passage of air and light through the rack, at least one solar panel affixed to each rack, each solar panel including a curved reflector formed at the radial edge of the solar panel, an airflow turbine disposed at the top of the central pole, the central pole having one or more apertures and ducts to direct heated air toward the airflow turbine; and electrical conductors for supplying
