Abstract: Systems and methods for plant phenotyping using mechanical manipulation are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for plant phenotyping includes: agitating a plant with an agitator; acquiring images of the plant with a camera while agitating the plant; and analyzing the images of the plant to determine properties of the plant. The plant may be at least partially agitated at a resonance frequency of oscillation of a stalk of the plant.
