There is disclosed a silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material that is improved in such aspects as fastness of dye images, color reproduction, cyan stain, processing cyan color contamination, and the like, by the combination use of a phenidone compound having a specific structure as in the following general formula (VIII) and a pyrrolotriazole cyan coupler. The phenidone compound (VIII) can be produced industrially in low cost, by reacting an &agr;-alkyl or alkenyl acrylate with a compound represented by the following general formula (VII): wherein, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, and R9, each represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or the like; R2a represents an alkyl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, or the like.
