    Abstract: A manufacturing method for a wearing item repeatedly executes: a step of, at a preceding pad, receiving and holding a distal end part of a continuous body to convey; a step of, at a following pad, catching up with the preceding pad; a both holding step of, at both of the preceding pad and the following pad, holding the continuous body; and a cutting step of cutting the distal end part of the continuous body to generate an individual workpiece on the preceding pad, and, in the both holding step, relative speeds of both of the pads are equal to each other, and both of the pads rotate at a non constant speed in at least part of a zone, the continuous body is fed from the feeder at the non-constant speed in response to a change in a speed of the pads that rotate at the non-constant speed.

    Abstract: The present welding system includes: a transport device that transports a work in a state where a plurality of webs are overlaid on each other; an anvil roller that includes an anvil which intermittently makes contact with the first surface of the work being transported; an ultrasonic horn that is opposite the second surface of the work and that cooperates with the anvil to apply vibration energy to the work so as to intermittently weld the webs; a speed changing device that lowers the transport speed of the work supplied between the horn and the anvil when the welding is performed; and a pressing device that presses the first surface of the work to the anvil when the welding is performed.

    Abstract: A transport device includes a plurality of pads that hold and transport a workpiece while a peripheral speed is changed. The transport device further includes: a rotation shaft having an axial line serving as a rotation center; a rotation body that rotates around the rotation shaft; the plurality of pads that hold and transport the workpiece while the peripheral speed is changed with respect to the rotation shaft; transmission mechanisms that change a speed of each pad; and a motor provided for each pad and including an output shaft that drives each of the transmission mechanisms.     Abstract: A method including: a step of carrying first and second continuous webs in a predetermined carrying direction; a first slitting step of slitting the first continuous web along a virtual first cut-off line extending the carrying direction, thereby dividing the first continuous web into a wider first divided web and a narrower second divided web; a step of sandwiching an around-torso elastic member extending in a girth direction between the wider first divided web and the second continuous web; a welding step of welding together the first divided web, the second continuous web and the around-torso elastic member intermittently in the carrying direction, thereby producing a layered sheet; and a bonding step of sandwiching an around-leg elastic member meandering relative to the carrying direction between the layered sheet and the narrower second divided web, and attaching the around-leg elastic member thereto by an adhesive, thereby producing a stretchable continuous sheet.
