摘要: The present invention discloses an overhead rail and trolley apparatus and method. The apparatus provides an overhead rail having one or more tracks. A wheeled trolley having a wheel or wheels travels upon the tracks. A stop unit on the rail is positioned to selectively halt the trolley. There is a cutout section on the rail and an insert that is attached to the rail at the cutout. The trolley wheels engage the upper surface of the insert when the trolley is halted by the stop unit. A plating on the insert increases the hardness of the insert upper surface. The insert helps prevent and/or at least lessens wear of apparatus when the trolley is halted by the stop unit.

摘要: A method of washing fabric articles in a tunnel washer that includes moving the fabric articles from the intake of the washer to the discharge of the washer and through multiple modules or sectors. Liquid can be counter flowed in the washer interior along a flow path that is generally opposite the direction of travel of the fabric articles. A dual use zone includes multiple of the modules or sectors. In a dual use zone, a module or modules can be used to both wash and thereafter rinse the fabric articles. While counterflow rinsing, the flow rate can be maintained at a selected flow rate or flow pressure head. One or more booster pumps can optionally be employed to maintain constant counterflow rinsing flow rate or constant counterflow rinsing pressure head.

A source of fresh, make-up water can be provided to adjust conductivity. Conductivity is monitored in at least one of the modules. Conductivity of fluid in the discharged fabric articles is monitored. Make up water is added to one or more modules before if the conductivity of water in the discharged fabric articles exceeds a threshold value. In one embodiment, one of the modules is an empty pocket that is drained of fluid when rinsing with counterflowing liquid.

摘要: A method of washing fabric articles in a tunnel washer includes moving the fabric articles from the intake of the washer to the discharge of the washer through first and second sectors that are a pre-wash zone. Liquid can be counter flowed in the wash interior along a flow path that is generally opposite the direction of travel of the fabric articles. The main wash zone can be heated as an option. In the wash zone, there is a pre-rinse and/or a rinse. The fabric articles are transferred to a water extraction device that enables removal of excess water. A sour solution can be added to the fabric articles while extracting excess water.

摘要: There is disclosed a textile treating machine having an outer shell in which textile treating liquids may be contained, and a perforated drum for receiving textiles to be treated and having a shaft extending through an opening in one end of the shell. A bearing assembly is mounted on the other side of the shell and supports the shaft for extension through it so that the shaft and drum may be rotated to cause treatment liquid to be circulated through the textiles, and a seal assembly is releasably connected to the shell to sealably surround the shaft adjacent the shell opening inboard of the bearing assembly so as to prevent leakage of the liquid from the shell into the bearing assembly. The shaft includes a main section which extends through the seal and bearing assemblies and a bushing which is releasably connected over a tapered inner end of the main shaft section, and the drum has an opening in one end which surrounds the inner end of the shaft and is of a size to pass the seal assembly therethrough. The connections of the bushing to the main shaft section and to the drum and the seal assembly to the shell are accessible from within the drum to permit them to be replaced through access openings in other ends of the shell and drum without removable of either of the bearing housing or the main shaft section.

摘要: Disclosed are method and apparatus for operating a multi-stage process. The stages of the process are carried out in a plurality of modules arranged in sequence to receive individual batches of goods to be processed. Formulas may be devised whereby particular process steps may be effected in the various modules on particular batches of goods which determine the choice of formula. In a particular embodiment disclosed, a controller operates a continuous batch washing system according to formulas devised to operate the modules of the washing system to accommodate particular wash requirements of the batches of goods. Continuous access to the controller is provided for modification of the formulas.
