    摘要： A hair curling system embodying a novel device and method for overnight use is provided. The hair curling system includes a sectioning tool and a separate curling strip. The sectioning tool may include an elastic cord forming a loop shape, wherein a stopper member is disposed there along. The curling strip may include an elongated strip of material that terminates in a collar. The collar may define a collar opening adapted to receive the stopper member. The user may use the sectioning tool to secure a predetermined section of hair whereby the stopper member may subsequently receive the collar and thus hang the attached elongated strip near the scalp of the user. The user may then twirl the predetermined section of hair using the entire curling strip. The sectioning tool is then removed, facilitating a comfortable sleep with at least one curling strip in place.

    摘要： A heatable hair curling device includes a plurality of hair curlers for winding up human hair and a thermally insulating carrier for retaining the curlers and insulating the curlers from heat loss prior to individual curler use. Each curler includes an elongate casing of flexible material having opposite first and second ends attachable to each other, a body, and an axial length. A heat absorbent material is contained within the body of each curler. The thermally insulating carrier has a length and includes an interior and an exterior piece of flexible heat-safe material. The interior piece of flexible heat-safe material is attached to the exterior piece of flexible heat-safe material. A center strap is disposed along the length of the interior piece the carrier and includes a lower and an upper piece of flexible heat-safe material. A heating element is contained between the interior and exterior pieces of flexible heat-safe material of the carrier and between the lower and upper pieces of flexible heat-safe material of the center strap.

A layer of hair-retentive material is securely mounted on the first face of the thin resiliently pliant base member. The hair setting strip is bendable along the longitudinal axis to a plurality of curved configurations, and is thereby selectively formable to any of the plurality of curved configurations. The hair setting strip may be retained in any selected curved configuration, whereby the retained plurality of strands of hair will become set in the desired style.

    摘要： A hair care accessory to form curls in a user's hair is disclosed. The accessory has a roller body having a first end and a second end, and a ribbon wherein a first end of the ribbon is attached to the roller body substantially at the first end thereof, and wherein the first end of the roller body defines a helical slit depending from the surface thereof. A hair retention device is associated with the accessory to temporarily locate the terminal portions of the hair and a segment of the ribbon after having wrapped the same about the roller body. A preferred embodiment uses a cylindrical solid of resilient material for the roller body wherein the helical slit generally depends to the axis of the roller body, and the hair retention device is characterized as a bisecting slit.

    摘要： A hair roller with which the user''s hair can be wound in a bundle having the strands therein held in windings of varying pitch to give a corresponding varying degree of tension to the hair. Thus the bundle of hair is so controlled that when it is set it possesses a larger curl near the root end and a smaller tighter curl near the tip end giving better overall body to the hair and optimum control over the shaping of the critical tip end. The hair roller comprising a wrapping strip susceptible of being wound upon itself so as to facilitate the winding of the hair therewith into a bundle of hair for setting purposes. The wrapping strip is used in conjunction with a core member of generally cylindrical shape and provided for starting the first winding of the hair at a predetermined diameter. Projections are included on the wrapping strip to space each convolution into which the hair is wound from the others at windings of increasing pitch to impart varying tension to the hair and also allow axial entry of air to the rolled bundle for rapid and more complete drying of the hair. Also, access for radial entry of air to the bundle is provided for by means of suitable openings formed in both the core and wrapping strip.
