The absorbent article includes an absorbent assembly that overlaps with the non-elastic portions of the laminate.

摘要： A method of forming an elasticised leg cuff for a wearable article is disclosed. In particular embodiments, the method includes providing a first web of material for forming at least part of an outer cover for a wearable article, the first web defining a first surface and an opposed second surface; cutting a web of leg band material to form a discrete leg band having a first, shaped outer portion and a second, inner portion; connecting the shaped outer portion of the discrete leg band to the first surface of the first web so that the inner portion of the discrete leg band extends laterally from a side edge of the first web; connecting an elastic component to the first web, adjacent the discrete leg band; and folding the inner portion of the leg band over the elastic component and connecting it to the second surface of the first web so as to cover at least a portion of the elastic component. Also disclosed is a wearable article and a outer cover for use therein that includes a first web which defines a first surface and an opposed second surface; a pair of opposed, elasticised leg cuffs, each elasticised leg cuff including a discrete leg band having a first, shaped outer portion connected to the first surface of the first web, and a second, inner portion connected to the second surface of the first web; and an elastic component connected to the first web so as to be sandwiched between the leg band and the first web.

摘要： A disposable garment of pants type, such as a disposable diaper of pants type, is constructed by attaching respective leg-hole surrounding flaps and waist-hole surrounding flaps to respective opposite side edges extending longitudinally of a basic assembly for the garment which comprises at least a topsheet and a backsheet. The leg-hole surrounding flaps and the waist-hole surrounding flaps respectively cooperate to form a pair of leg-holes. A pair of shoulder straps can be easily prepared by making a slit which extends longitudinally of the garment on each waist-hole surrounding flap. A disposable garment of the present invention is featured in its simple construction and easy production.

The leg sheets each have notches facing inward from the outer lateral edges thereof. The pair of leg openings are defined by joining outer lateral edge regions of the leg sheets adjacent to front-side starting ends of the notches, and outer lateral edge regions of the leg sheets adjacent to back-side starting ends of the notches.

The elastic member is stretched between the outer and inner sheets while being elongated previously along the outer circumferential fringe of the sheet body, and the pair of leg openings are provided at positions on the outer side of the central area of the sheet body in the vicinity of the inside of the elastic body. Disposable undergarment having no joint around the waist area in which the elastic body provided to the sheet body shrinks to form a waist opening are thereby obtained.
