    摘要: A temperature-control and fire-suppression system is provided for a system space, which optionally houses IT equipment. The system space has a ventilation system for providing controlled temperature air, for example to the IT equipment. A store of a fire-suppressing gas in liquid form is coupled to a supply means for supplying the fire-suppressing gas in liquid form to the system space, such that evaporation of the fire-suppressing gas in liquid form cools, or absorbs energy, from, the air in the system space. A temperature sensor is provided for sensing a temperature in the system space and a controller is responsive to the sensed temperature for controlling the supply means, to supply the fire-suppressing gas in liquid form while maintaining the sensed temperature above a predetermined lower temperature.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a fire extinguishing gas emission control apparatus for a protected area. The fire extinguishing gas emission control apparatus includes a mode conversion unit, and a control unit. The mode conversion unit includes a stop switch capable of selecting an on-mode used to prevent fire extinguishing gas from being emitted into the protected area or an off-mode used to allow the fire extinguishing gas to be emitted into the protected area. The control unit performs control such that the interlock circuit unit of the gas fire extinguishing equipment apparatus is put in on or off-mode based on the on or off-mode of the stop switch. The mode conversion unit further includes a Radio Frequency (RF) card recognition unit capable of recognizing an RF card in which the ID of a passer-by who enters the protected area is stored.

    摘要: Disclosed are systems and methods for preventing ignition and fire in maintained hypoxic environments. In one aspect of the present invention, the hypoxic environment is initially obtained via an initial release of large quantities of nitrogen and is thereafter maintained via use of nitrogen generation equipment, thereby eliminating the need for onsite nitrogen storage. In other aspects of the present invention, the hypoxic environment is initially obtained via the same equipment used to maintain the hypoxic environment. Additionally, venting is provided to prevent over-pressurization of the hypoxic environment or to otherwise regulate the pressure of the environment. Furthermore, ultra-sophisticated fire detection system is implemented to detect invisible by-product materials as they degrade during pre-combustion stages of an incipient fire, thereby detecting a fire as early as six hours prior to ignition. Finally, networked embodiments of such systems are disclosed for remote monitoring and maintenance of such systems and methods.

    摘要: Fire fighting apparatus has a fire retardant or fire quenching system mounted on a structure operative in response to detection of fire to take water from a reserve supply in the absence of main water line or supply flow or pressure. The reserve supply may be a reservoir such as a pool or it may be unpressurized water in the main water line. Detection is achieved via remote temperature or smoke sensors as examples as well as remote actuators such as telephone or portable signal transmitting units. Power is supplied by battery connection to motors, pump, and relays for oprating the apparatus and valves are selectively disposed in an interconnecting pumping network with the pump and motor to conduct water from the reserve supply.
