摘要: A fire extinguisher includes a source conduit, a flow control device connected to the source conduit, and a supply conduit. The supply conduit is connected to the flow control device, is fluidly coupled therethrough to the source conduit, and is thermally coupled to the source conduit to communicate heat between pressurized fire suppression agent entering the flow control device through the source conduit and expanded fire suppression agent issuing from the flow control device through the supply conduit. Fire suppression systems and methods of controlling flow of fire suppressant agents are also described.

摘要: A storage system is described where goods are stored in containers and the containers are stored in stacks. Above the stacks runs a grid network of tracks on which load handling devices run. The load handling devices take containers from the stacks and deposit then at alternative locations in the stacks or deposit then at stations where goods may be picked out. The framework may be provided with one or more of the following services: power, power control, heating, lighting, cooling, sensing, and data logging. A method of partitioning the storage system prevents the spread of fire or prevent damage caused by sprinkler activation.

摘要: The invention relates to an inertization apparatus for inerting a working volume in a chemical production plant by flushing with inert gas, where the chemical production plant comprises a plant-wide inert gas distribution system having pipes for distributing the inert gas and at least one inert gas offtake position which can be connected to a connecting conduit. According to the invention, it is provided that the connecting conduit between inertization apparatus and working volume is connected, at its end nearest the working volume, in a not reversibly detachable manner to an intermediate piece, where the intermediate piece can be connected in a reversibly detachable manner to a counterpiece provided on the working volume.

摘要: A method of fire suppression may include injecting a reactive agent into a reaction zone to produce a catalytically active species for fire suppression and conveying the catalytically active species to a fire to catalytically interfere with flame chemistry of the fire. Fire in a fuel tank may be suppressed by injecting the reactive agent into a convective flow of a mixture of fuel and oxidizer in a fuel tank, the reactive agent reacting in the fuel tank to release a species which catalytically interferes with flame chemistry to suppress fire in the fuel tank. Fire at an airplane crash may be suppressed by releasing the reactive agent from the container at the crash site to produce an active species to catalytically interfere with a fire at the crash site.

摘要: A vacuum monitoring and mitigation system is described. Embodiments of the vacuum monitoring and mitigation system can be implemented in a combined-use vacuum system to help mitigate high oxidizer levels that may damage vacuum pumps of the combined-use vacuum system. The vacuum monitoring and mitigation system can determine when an oxidizer level is above a predetermined threshold and introduce a mitigating gas into the combined-use vacuum system to lower the oxidizer level.

Each conduit is arranged to track electrical wiring of the electrical device or track at least part of an outer surface of at least one electrical component of the device.

摘要: A vehicle includes electrical equipment and a fire suppression system for the electrical equipment of the vehicle. The fire suppression system includes a sensor, an inert gas storage container, a nozzle, a delivery system, and a controller. The inert gas storage container is configured to store an amount of inert gas and discharge the inert gas based on the fire suppression system being activated. The delivery system includes a flexible conduit. The delivery system is fluidly coupled with the inert gas storage container and the nozzle. The controller is configured to receive sensor signals from the sensor and activate the fire suppression system based on the sensor signals so that the inert gas is provided to the electrical equipment.
