摘要： A flag pin is provided comprising a pin, a flag at the end of the pin, a sleeve positioned around the pin, and a flexible base receiving the tip of the pin therethrough and abutting the bottom of the sleeve. A user may insert the flag pin into the sleeve so that the tip of the pin extends from the bottom of the sleeve, and move the bottom of the pin through the flexible base so that the top of the base rests against the bottom of the cylindrical sleeve. The bottom end of the pin may then extend into a base on which the pin is to be placed, with the flexible base vertically supporting the cylindrical sleeve and the pin itself, and holding the pin in a generally vertical orientation. A kit for assembling flag pins and a related method are also provided.

An exemplary pushpin retaining device can include a resilient, elongated pin that can have a first end portion for puncturing and a second end portion. A grip foot can be operatively associated with the second end portion of the pin. Alternatively, a cut edge can be on the second end portion of the pin. A method of retaining objects without object puncture can include providing a pushpin retaining device. The method can also include puncturing a support surface with an end of the pin of the pushpin device and pressing a portion of an object against the support surface with the grip foot or cut edge, respectively.

The device has a body, at least one pin movably coupled to the body for securing the body to a support surface, and an actuator coupled to the body and arranged to move the pin between a first position and a second position. The body may have a cavity and the pin may be movable between a first position where the pin is recessed within the cavity and a second position where the pin protrudes out of the cavity for securing the body to a support surface. In one embodiment, the device is a clip for releasably holding an object, such as paper, to the support device.
