Abstract: A power tool includes a housing, a nosepiece, and an end effector rotatably coupled to the housing. A substantially annular holder body is axially and non-rotatably coupled to the nosepiece. A circuit board is received in an internal substantially annular groove in a rear face of the front wall of the holder body between the holder body and the nosepiece. A light unit is coupled to the circuit board and configured to illuminate the workpiece. A wire assembly electrically couples the light unit to a source of electrical power.

Abstract: A lighting device according to an embodiment includes a light source, a cup lens, and a condenser lens. The light source emits light in a punctiform manner. The cup lens is arranged at the emission side of the light source. The condenser lens is arranged at the emission side of the cup lens. The cup lens includes: a bottom surface having a first outer shape and having a substantially circular shape; a top surface having a second outer shape larger than the first outer shape and having a substantially circular shape, the top surface being at the emission side of and spaced apart from the bottom surface in the optical axis direction; a side surface continuous with the bottom surface and the top surface; and a recessed part having a substantially cylindrical shape, provided substantially at the center of the bottom surface, and accommodating the light source.

Abstract: An optical system and luminaire are provided. The optical system includes first and second lighting effect assemblies. Each lighting effect assemblies include an effect selector and a lighting effect insert rotatably coupled thereto. Each effect selector positions its lighting effect insert in a light beam. The lighting effect inserts include a prism with a rear surface and a front side having a first plurality of facets. The rear surface has a plurality of regions aligned with corresponding facets. The regions are color filters. Some lighting effect inserts are an effects plate and a prism, where the effects plate has color filter regions. The effects plate and the prism may be separately rotatable at desired speeds and/or directions. Some lighting effect inserts are a prism with color filter regions on the facets.

Abstract: A tool storage system includes a tool storage container configured to receive therein a battery for a power tool with an inductive receiving unit. An inductive transmitting unit is coupled to the tool storage container and configured to receive a source of electrical power. The inductive transmitting unit is configured to induce generation of electrical power in the inductive receiving unit to charge the battery. A controller is configured to control generation of electrical power by the inductive receiving unit based on a position or alignment of the inductive receiving unit relative to the inductive transmitting unit.

Abstract: A light emitting diode (LED) lighting arrangement for a lighting fixture includes: a lighting strip comprising a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) arranged along a length of the lighting strip; a first multi-faceted side wall reflector extending from a first side of the lighting strip at an angle such that the first multi-faceted side wall reflector extends along an entire length of the lighting strip and away from a bottom portion of a light emitting portion of each of the light emitting diodes (LEDs); and a second multi-faceted side wall reflector extending from a second, opposite side of the lighting strip at an angle such that the second multi-faceted side wall reflector extends along an entire length of the lighting strip away from the bottom portion of the light emitting portion of each of the light emitting diodes (LEDs). The first and second multi-faceted side wall reflectors cause light produced by the plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) to be amplified and formed into a uniform beam.

Abstract: A light including a housing having an upper portion, a lower portion, and a central axis. The lower portion defines a battery port. The upper portion acts as a lens. The light further includes a heat sink extending upward from the lower portion of the housing and including a body defining a central aperture. A plurality of light support surfaces are arranged around a perimeter of the body and a top support member is coupled to and oriented perpendicularly relative to the plurality of light support surfaces. The light further includes a first plurality of LEDs coupled to the plurality of light support surfaces and a second plurality of LEDs supported on the top support member. The light further includes a first battery pack and a second battery pack, both of which are electrically connected to the first and second pluralities of LEDs when received in the battery port.

Abstract: Lighting devices and methods utilize multiple independently controllable groups of solid state light emitters of different dominant wavelengths, with operation of the emitter groups being automatically adjusted by processor(s) to provide desired illumination. Operation of the emitter groups may be further affected by sensors and/or user input commands (e.g., sound patterns, gesture patterns, or signal transmission). Operation may be adjusted to compensate for presence, absence, intensity, and/or color point of ambient or incident light. Presence of five or more groups of solid state light emitters provide desirable luminous flux, color point, correlated color temperature (CCT), color rendering index (CRI), CRI R9, and luminous efficacy characteristics of aggregate emissions over a wide range of CCT values, and may permit adjustment of vividness (e.g., relative gamut) and/or melatonin suppression characteristics for a selected color point or CCT.

Abstract: A method and apparatus include attaching a lighted cup holder to a seating arrangement. The lighted cup holder includes a cup holder body and a light-producing light source, with the cup holder body being attached to the seating arrangement and having a cup receptacle therein, the light-producing source being disposed within the cup receptacle for illuminating the receptacle. A light-sensitive element operatively connected to the light source selectively controls production of light by the light source in such a manner that illumination of the cup holder is provided only under conditions where visibility is reduced to the point that it becomes difficult to locate the cup holder. The light-sensitive element is mounted on a master lighted cup holder and controls illumination of the master lighted cup holder and one or more slave lighted cup holders operatively connected to the master lighted cup holder.
