摘要： A tow hitching aid system for a vehicle having a hitching ball for connecting to a hitching receiver of a trailer includes a camera disposed at the vehicle and having a field of view that encompasses the hitching ball of the vehicle. The system also includes a plurality of distance measuring sensors disposed at the vehicle. A display screen is disposed in the vehicle and is viewable by a driver of the vehicle when the driver is normally operating the vehicle. A control receives input from the camera and input from the distance measuring sensors. During a tow hitching maneuver, the display screen displays video images captured by the camera, and at least one graphic overlay is superimposed over the displayed video images to assist the driver during the tow hitching maneuver to connect the hitching ball of the vehicle with the hitching receiver of the trailer.

The housing is retrofit to exclude a routinely functioning HID light source and exclude at least a portion of the HID lens. The housing is made to include at least a first support for at least one light emitting diode (LED) light source and an LED diode lighting fixture chamber. A second support is affixed at least to the first support and is positioned at least in part outside the LED fixture chamber. The LED light source is mounted to the second support outside the LED fixture chamber. At least one LED light source lens is mounted to provide a lens for the LED light source, also outside the LED lighting fixture chamber. The LED light source is thereby substantially free of exposure to the temperature effects.

The electrical device comprises light emitting devices. The computer processor generates an identification code identifying the function, a first bit signal associated with a first bit of the identification code, and a second bit signal associated with a second bit of the identification code. The computer processor transmits the first bit signal to a first light emitting device. The first bit signal results in the first light emitting device indicating the first bit signal as a first illuminated color.
